Friday Free-For-All

Heya, folks, seasons greetings and all that crap. It be Friday, so we get some room to play today! The sky is the limit, as it were, except for a few rules we need to just remind y'all about:

NO spoilers in prompts for at least one week after airing. Also, if your response contains spoilers, please warn for them and leave at least 3 empty lines before starting your fic.

Also, to make sure everyone gets a chance to prompt... no more than five prompts in a row, no more than 3 per fandom. You can always come back and prompt more after yours have been answered.

Please remember to be kind to you code monkeys (who work hard at a job that is time consuming) and code your prompts properly (fandom, pairing, prompt).

Examples:

Numb3rs, Colby/Charlie, The first time Colby called him "Professor"

Criminal Minds/Leverage, Reid/Eliot, "It's getting hot in here..."

Don't see anything that whets your appetite? Check out our lonely prompts archive here on delicious for some amazing ideas that just haven't been given homes yet.

Also, gird your loins, because next week is the start of yet another Quarterly Year Challenge, where we give you no prompts but instead offer lovely prizes to get you to write some of the prompts piling up in our archives.

Ready? Prompt!

Supernatural, Castiel, Bobby - Sam and Dean always go to Bobby's to lick their wounds, after a while, so does Cas.

Dean died two years ago, and Sam never quite recovered from that.

Sometimes, Castiel (now wingless, but he doesn't mind so much, because he likes the rush of humanity) thinks he might understand how Sam feels, because he misseswants Dean - but then again, Castiel is not the brother. The brother's heart has not broken. It is simply not there.

Castiel, of course, hasn't seen Sam for nineteen months, but Bobby tells him these things.

Bobby holds the needle between his teeth, and pokes at the tightly-sewn gash on Castiel's upper arm. "Don't touch," he mutters around the silver, and then spits it into the med kit.

Castiel doesn't speak, and pulls his sleeve down. Rain lashes at the windows, and the house feels rickety around them.

Bobby pauses, flicks the box of bandages shut, and says, "I haven't seen Sam for a while." His voice is guarded. "Not since Chicago."

The razing of Chicago, Castiel thinks, because Sam still hadn't said yes after that. After all that death. "Do you think—"

"I don't think," Bobby snaps. "And neither should you, boy."

They're still not like family (like Sam and Dean and Bobby were, because Castiel understands how broken that family is now), but they're getting there.

Awww, poor boys and poor Bobby! Heartbreaking and touching all at once.
