Friday Free-For-All
Heya, folks, seasons greetings and all that crap. It be Friday, so we get some room to play today! The sky is the limit, as it were, except for a few rules we need to just remind y'all about:
NO spoilers in prompts for at least one week after airing. Also, if your response contains spoilers, please warn for them and leave at least 3 empty lines before starting your fic.
Also, to make sure everyone gets a chance to prompt... no more than five prompts in a row, no more than 3 per fandom. You can always come back and prompt more after yours have been answered.
Please remember to be kind to you code monkeys (who work hard at a job that is time consuming) and code your prompts properly (fandom, pairing, prompt).
Examples:
Numb3rs, Colby/Charlie, The first time Colby called him "Professor"
Criminal Minds/Leverage, Reid/Eliot, "It's getting hot in here..."
Don't see anything that whets your appetite? Check out our lonely prompts archive here on delicious for some amazing ideas that just haven't been given homes yet.
Also, gird your loins, because next week is the start of yet another Quarterly Year Challenge, where we give you no prompts but instead offer lovely prizes to get you to write some of the prompts piling up in our archives.
Ready? Prompt!

HOW MANY WAYS CAN I SPELL CHANUKAH IN ONE STORY?
Cissie rolled her eyes and took the cheerful blue card from him. Happy Hanukkah, Tim! She signed her name and handed it to Kon.
"But what if you're wrong?" he asked, scribbling his name down.
"It's not an English word, so it can be spelled however I want to spell it." Cissie took the card back and taped it to the package they'd picked out for him. "How close is he?"
Kon tilted his head a little and squinted as he looked through the walls. "Not in view yet."
"Then hurry! Set up the menorah!" Cissie shooed him into the dining room and went back to minding the latkes. They were almost ready. Latkes, roast beef, wine, gelt... what was she forgetting.
Oy vey. "KON!" she shouted. Kon popped his head in the door, a box of candles in one hand.
"What?" he asked.
"Fly to the store as fast as you can and get apple sauce and sour cream for the latkes!"
"But the candles--"
"NO TIME. I'll do it!" she took the stuff from him and watched him shrug on his jacket and fly out the window almost too fast to see. She had only just finished setting up the menorah when he flew back in.
"Am I too late?" he gasped, handing her the jars.
"Not at all." She kissed his cheek. "Now we just have to wait for--"
The door crashed open. "Hey, guys, I'm home. Do I smell meat and potatoes?"
Kon flew over and scooped Tim into a hug. "Yes. We've missed you." He pushed Tim against the wall and kissed him.
Behind him, Cissie quickly poured the sour cream and apple sauce into bowls. "We're good," she whispered so that only Kon could hear. Which was good because Tim was trying to push him off.
"Not that I don't appreciate the greeting," Tim said, raising an eyebrow. "But... what, exactly, was that?"
"Happy Chanuka," Cissie said, beaming.
Finally, Tim looked around. "It's... oh, I entirely forgot."
"Yeah, we noticed." Kon kissed him again, this time lightly, on the cheek. "But we didn't."
"Kon would have gotten grouchy without his yearly latkes." Cissie walked over to them and kissed Tim hello.
"They're pancakes made of potatoes." Kon sighed. "Your people are brilliant, Tim."
Tim snorted a little. "Thanks, guys. I... really, really love you."
"We know," Kon said. "Now come on! We don't actually remember all the words to the prayers!"
Tim laughed and lit the shamash. "Baruch atah adonai..."
He couldn't believe he'd forgotten. Chanukkah with his family was one of his favorite things. Luckily, they'd remembered. And as he looked through the candles at Kon and Cissie, he felt a warm glow that had nothing to do with the way Kon's TTK was stroking his leg.
