Friday Free-For-All
Heya, folks, seasons greetings and all that crap. It be Friday, so we get some room to play today! The sky is the limit, as it were, except for a few rules we need to just remind y'all about:
NO spoilers in prompts for at least one week after airing. Also, if your response contains spoilers, please warn for them and leave at least 3 empty lines before starting your fic.
Also, to make sure everyone gets a chance to prompt... no more than five prompts in a row, no more than 3 per fandom. You can always come back and prompt more after yours have been answered.
Please remember to be kind to you code monkeys (who work hard at a job that is time consuming) and code your prompts properly (fandom, pairing, prompt).
Examples:
Numb3rs, Colby/Charlie, The first time Colby called him "Professor"
Criminal Minds/Leverage, Reid/Eliot, "It's getting hot in here..."
Don't see anything that whets your appetite? Check out our lonely prompts archive here on delicious for some amazing ideas that just haven't been given homes yet.
Also, gird your loins, because next week is the start of yet another Quarterly Year Challenge, where we give you no prompts but instead offer lovely prizes to get you to write some of the prompts piling up in our archives.
Ready? Prompt!

Golden Chain That Ties (G)
The only moment the monkeys stop fretting and running in circles or pushing papers is when they lie in bed. The silly creatures have come to see a box of springs with cotton stretched around as a salvation; wrap fragile bodies in downy fluff and the responsibilities of the world disappear.
The Archangel likes to watch the burden of the world melt away from one specific human. The weight that Sam Winchester carries floats away as his limbs relax on the squeaking motel mattress, face slack as sleep sands at the corner of his eyes.
The man is sprawled across the mattress, one hand curled beneath the pillow to clasp the weapon that is doubtlessly lying there. Gabriel watches as the glow of moonlight highlights the planes of his cheekbone, the strong jaw and admittedly floppy hair.
In sleep, at peace for a few hours, he’s beautiful like this.
Before he can stop himself, Gabriel is standing beside the sleeping hunter. He cards a hand through the brown strands, settling him back into a peaceful slumber. The Archangel decides to leave before he does something even more foolish, like ghost his lips across the mortal’s cheek. With a few flaps of oft-used wings, Gabriel leaves as a dreaming Sam turns over in the bed.
He’s confused when he spots a Hershey’s Kiss on the pillow next to his head in the morning.
title from this Thomas Dekker quote: "[Sleep is] the golden chain that ties health and our bodies together."
