Friday Free-For-All

Heya, folks, seasons greetings and all that crap. It be Friday, so we get some room to play today! The sky is the limit, as it were, except for a few rules we need to just remind y'all about:

NO spoilers in prompts for at least one week after airing. Also, if your response contains spoilers, please warn for them and leave at least 3 empty lines before starting your fic.

Also, to make sure everyone gets a chance to prompt... no more than five prompts in a row, no more than 3 per fandom. You can always come back and prompt more after yours have been answered.

Please remember to be kind to you code monkeys (who work hard at a job that is time consuming) and code your prompts properly (fandom, pairing, prompt).

Examples:

Numb3rs, Colby/Charlie, The first time Colby called him "Professor"

Criminal Minds/Leverage, Reid/Eliot, "It's getting hot in here..."

Don't see anything that whets your appetite? Check out our lonely prompts archive here on delicious for some amazing ideas that just haven't been given homes yet.

Also, gird your loins, because next week is the start of yet another Quarterly Year Challenge, where we give you no prompts but instead offer lovely prizes to get you to write some of the prompts piling up in our archives.

Ready? Prompt!

'You wanted to see me?' Lindsey asked coolly when he entered Angel's office. Angel's ordered assasination attempt on Lindsey at the evening of their attack on the Black Thorn had brought a palpable tension into their relationship. Lindsey didn't work for Wolfram & Hart anymore but sometimes he met Spike here after work. Angel had told Harmony to send him up as soon as she saw him.
'It's about you and Spike.' Angel began and Lindsey tensed noticeably.
'I know it doesn't seem always like this and Spike is still the biggest pain in the ass in thw world but there are times and sides of him that I did and still do like.' Angel made a pained face at the last word and Lindsey rolled his eyes.
'Is there a point here?' He asked.
'The thing is', Angel picked up again: 'that Spike can be very devoted when something - or someone - is important to him and that he stuck around when you were in the hospital' He did manage to look slightly guilty at that: ' and that he lives with you tells me that you're important to him and-'
'Angel', Lindsey interrupted him annoyed: 'Get to the point. Some of us aren't immortal.' Angel's head snapped up and his whole posture and voice changed:
'You want me to get to the point? Fine: If you break Spike's heart or hurt him in any other way then I'll use every trick I learned as Angelus on you and believe me I know quite a few.'
Lindsey stared at Angel for a few seconds until the familiar smirk broke out on his face:
'So you do still have a heart, Big guy. I'm impressed.' And left the office.

Thank you for this. I could believe them having this conversation. Lindsey being all impatient but then not bothered by the threats, lovely.

Glad you liked it. Authenticity is always the best compliment for a fanfiction-writer
