drabblewriter , and you're still stuck with me as your host. ^_^ Today's theme is rare pairings. Every fandom has that one OTP (or two or three) that everyone seems to ship, but what about all those other possibilities? Today is the time for these little-known couples to shine. ♥

Don't forget to follow the rules:

Post no more than three prompts per fandom and no more than five prompts in a row. If someone fills a prompt, you're more than welcome to post some more prompts later in the day.
No spoilers in prompts for at least seven days after the original airdate or publication date. If you have spoilers in your fic, please warn in bold and leave at least three spaces.

He sees the world with her – France and Cairo and Tokyo and New York. Jessie grows up and becomes a thief but she doesn’t hurt anyone so Bunny thinks he’s done all right, raising his little girl. Jessie even finds herself a family and she tells Bunny about them – about Nate and Sophie and Eliot and Hardison and their adventures that sound like the Robin Hood stories Jessie used to read to them when she was younger.

And then one day a grown up lady and a grown up man come into Jessie’s home and start snooping around. Bunny lies as still as he can on the bed and the grown up lady picks him up and cuddles him. Two more grown up men come in and Bunny realises that these people are Jessie’s family – the grumpy not-Daddy Nate and the pretty not-Mommy Sophie and the growly not-brother Eliot and the…the Hardison. The Hardison that his Jessie likes a lot, even if she doesn’t realise it yet. They talk around him about Jessie being in trouble and then they leave, the grown up lady putting Bunny back on the bed.

He remembers the way his little girl looked when she first saw him and he remembers the house that she blew up so that she could keep him and he remembers the promise that he made her on her tenth birthday. And Bunny closes his bright button eyes tight-shut and wishes on the first star of the evening and on birthday candles and everything he can think of that Jessie’s not scared wherever she is without him and that Jessie’s family bring her back safely.

Bunny will give them until the evening and then, stuffed bunny or not, he’s going to go and find his Jessie and bring her back himself.

This is just many many shades of awesome. ::nodding::
