Thursday - Failures
Sup everyone, still
firefox1490 ending my round of hosting duties. Ending out my duties with some less than happy decisions and/or outcomes, today's theme is:
Failures, you know that thing you were suppose to do that ended up being a total FUBAR. Failures are failures no matter how big or small. The real question is do we regret them.
Please forget the rules:
* Three prompts per fandom, and no more than five total. If one of your prompts is filled, you may post another.
* No spoilers for new shows/seasons until at least one week after airing.
* If your fill do contains spoilers, please warn accordingly and leave enough space for people to pass by.
To help the hardworking codemonekys please format your prompts as such:
If nothing strikes your fancy feel free to check out the lonely prompts, they always need a bit more love.

Inception, Arthur, How he missed that Fisher was militarized was eating him up on the inside.
House MD, Wilson, Three ex wives, two dead girlfriends and enough UST to choke on with his best friend, where did he go wrong?
Sailor Moon, Usagi, It wasn't suppose to be this way.

replace an empty mind (Glee, Santana/Brittany, spoilers for S2, G)
"I'll come over," Santana answered, with hardly a hesitation. Brittany sniffled.
"Thanks, S," she said.
*
Santana pulled up not five minutes later. Speed limits happened to other people. There wasn't anyone home at the Pierce household, which was just fine with Santana. Brittany's parents were as bubble-headed as their daughter; holding a conversation with all of them at once always made Santana talk in one-syllable words for hours afterward.
When Brittany opened the door, her eyes were red-rimmed, and Santana's throat burned. She couldn't stand it when Brittany cried. Brittany thrust an envelope at Santana and Santana took it, looking down at it as a reprieve from Brittany's expression. She pulled out a sheet of paper and studied it.
"Britt, how did you fail study hall?" she asked in amazement. She'd failed everything else -- straight F's down the line of grades, but Santana didn't even know you got graded for study hall.
"I think it's because I kept forgetting that you're supposed to sit still. Mr. Weidner kept yelling," Brittany said. "I don't know what to do, Santana! You know that Ms. Sylvester used to fix the grades for all the Cheerios, but... we're not Cheerios anymore. I can't fail. I don't want to repeat this year. I'd know what was supposed to happen and everyone would think I was psychic."
Santana shook her head. She reached out with fingers that hardly trembled at all, and brushed a stray lock of hair back from Brittany's face. Artie and Brittany were broken up now, sure, but things were still weird between the two of them. Santana wished that she hadn't said anything to start with. She knew this would happen. It was like they had to rebuild their friendship. And Santana was the vulnerable one this time. She hated being the vulnerable one.
"Why didn't you ask Artie to fix your grades?" she asked, knowing how defensive she sounded. Brittany shook her head.
"He'd just say I deserved it. I can't help it. Math is hard. And English. And hysterectomy."
"History, B," Santana corrected absently. She looked down at the paper again. Then she looked up at Brittany and smiled a little. "Don't worry. I can fix this. Coach taught me how to hack the system last year when she tried to fail Schue as a teacher. I bet Figgins hasn't changed his passwords."
Brittany's face lit up like a sun, and Santana drank in her joy. She'd do much harder things to see Brittany smile like that. She had done them. And it was always worth it in the end.
"You're my best friend ever," Brittany said, pulling Santana into a hug, and Santana shut her eyes and hugged back. When they pulled apart, Santana grinned.
"Let's do this," she said. "You can thank me later."
"Lord Tubbington better not be on Myspace again," Brittany said, grabbing Santana's hand and pulling her up the stairs behind her, as if Santana didn't know this house as well as her own. Still, Santana didn't let go of her hand.
"Yeah," Santana said. "He really should switch to Facebook. Behind on the times."
"That's exactly what I told him," Brittany said solemnly, and Santana smiled, just a little.
This was totally worth it.
