So maybe Hardison should have known the shopping trip would be a bust. Parker is Parker, but she's also a girl - what girl doesn't like to shop?
Parker. Of course. He should have known. Her eyes skim over every shelf of souvenirs; she barely glances at the local artwork. Hardison buys her a t-shirt and he catches her using it as a gun rag a week later.
So they try taking a couple of tours. Parker hates the tour guides. They keep telling her she can't go here, she can't do that (of course she can't - places have rules, but Parker don't like hearing it and when does she follow rules anyway?) And she threatens two of them before Hardison gives up. He finds out Parker's been pick-pocketing all of the other tourists on the tours and makes her turn the wallets and jewelry in at the visitor's center, then they're both frustrated.
By the end of the trip, Hardison's decided to content himself with the fact that Parker seems at least to enjoy the picture-taking aspect of normal touristry. She's been snapping away ever since he put a camera in her hands.
When they get back to the States Hardison realizes he probably should have known better about that too. He gets the disposables Parker used developed at a photo lab and thrusts the prints at her as soon as he walks into Nates.
"What are these?" he asks.
Parker glances at the photos.
"Oh! The pictures we took in Tokyo! Cool. Do you like them."
No. No, he did not like them. With the exception of the few pictures Hardison asked her to take... Parker had shot nothing but surveillance photos of banks and museums.
Nate looks over Hardison's shoulder at the pictures and raises a brow. Eliot smirks. But he's just still bitter that he couldn't go too. Something about the Yakuza and a panda cub.
Sophie says, "Parker, you took pictures?"
Parker smiles. "Yeah! Turns out tourism is a lot like casing a joint, but you can't steal anything while you're there and nobody suspects you of anything when you stare too long. It's weird, but it's kind of fun."
Hardison supposes he should just be happy with what he gets.

But he has higher hopes for Disneyland.
