Friday: Free for All

And so the day you've been waiting for is here: the Friday Free for All. All fandoms, characters, and prompts are accepted today.

Just please remember to follow the usual rules:

No more than 5 prompts in a row, no more than 3 prompts per fandom. If someone answers your prompt you may prompt again.

No spoilers in your prompt until at least 1 week after the original air/publication date. If there's a spoiler in your response, you must warn in bold and leave at least 3 spaces.

Please remember to format your prompts correctly, and keep them to an appropriate length. For example:
Castle, Rick/Alexis, face it - this isn't the worst thing you've caught me doing
Burn Notice, Fiona, better uses for soap

Dollhouse/Leverage, Topher/Hardison, complicated bit of coding
Justified/Wanted, Raylan, curve the bullet

Can't find a prompt to your liking? There's plenty of good ones hiding in the Lonely Prompts. Just keep in mind -- this weekend is a contest!

Happy weekend. :)

Totally rusty, haven't had time to write in a WHILE, and haven't touched this pairing since last year. Sorry!

/GUILT because you always write such nice things for me and this isn't *exactly* shipping D:

She hates that he made her kill him more than anything he ever actually did to anyone she loves or to her, sometimes.

She's killed before, of course- more times than anyone else in the group would like to think about, and less times Jake will ever admit to sending her personally to handle- but David's death still hits her harder and twists her up insides more than she would have expected this many months later.

He was evil, twisted, betrayed them, could have killed Cassie in cold blood, had tried to kill Tobias---

But she didn't kill David that day as a grizzly, with its' poor vision that blurs the light of life burning out in another's eyes to the point she doesn't have to see what she's done anymore, nor did she finish him off as a polar bear in the thick of a battle so bloody and chaotic that no one can really be sure later if this person or that Hork Bajr actually died from her claws and teeth- or not.

Instead, she ended his life kneeling amid discarded litter on the dirty, stained pavement of a little used alleyway, and he just looked at her with his beady, tiny rat eyes.

She hates him for his final words the most, though ---

--- she doesn't want David's forgiveness for this crime, dammit.

Glad you like it. My OThateP and I can't even do them *right* tonight. Maybe I'll try and springboard this into something longer sometime.

What's the prompt from?

I think that was very right. :D But I wouldn't mind you extending it. ^_^

Well the original quote, "Rage, rage, against the dying of the light" is some sort of classic all-over quote, like Shakespeare or something. I'll look it up. Okay, no, it's Dylan Thomas, Welsh poet from the early/mid 1900s. Close enough? Anyway, yeah, I thought of that only I changed it because "like" fit them better. (:
