Tuesday: Song lyrics!
Hello, everyone. I’m
nagi_schwarz and your host for the week. As a reminder, Sundays are for Lonely Prompts and sharing the fills that you completed during the week, Tuesdays and Thursdays are for new themes and prompts and Saturdays will remain a Free for All. Posting will be done on both DW and LJ so everyone should be able to get notifications.
With that being said, today's theme is song lyrics. Prompts can be lyrics from any song, from pop to opera to folk songs and nursery rhymes.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ any, any, I’m not myself without you in this world (Find Me - Rocky)
+ any, any, you loved me just the same (Yes or No - Rocky)
+ any, any, when I see you, it feels like the whole world is upside down (Chameleon - Rocky)
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2024 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? You can use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the use of LJ's advanced search options is available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching in the future.
If you have a Dreamwidth account and would feel more comfortable participating there, please feel free to do so…and spread the word!

Teeny Fill, John/Rodney
It's John tonight, who heads out first, who sits on the edge of the dock and lets his bare feet touch the water, who sits quiet stargazing in the gathering dark and lets the breeze tangle his hair; and it's Rodney, this time, who grabs a couple of beers and plods out to join him.
"So," Rodney starts when John's got his beer--because that's how this goes, without anything but jokes until they've both got a beer. "Radek says you got a message from your brother today."
"Yeah," John says with a sigh and doesn't elaborate, because that's how this goes, too.
So Rodney waits, because he's learned."You ever see Jeannie about to do something stupid," comes eventually, after a long sip of beer.
"Train crash coming from a mile off, but you know she won't listen if you say anything?"
Rodney huffs a laugh. He shifts forward, and the water closes in around his ankles. "Yeah, with hindsight, it was usually the other way around."
It startles a chuckle out of John, and then another drink, and, "Hell."
Rodney sips again, and waggles his feet when a bit of seaweed brushes up against his toes, and waits again for John to stretch his arms and sigh and let the rest of it come tumbling out.
Because this is how it goes.
