The bar is loud and smoky, and Sam's got a pleasant buzz going when Jo sits down next to him. She takes a sip of his drink, smiling sweetly when he glares at her.
They talk idly for a few minutes, before her eyes fix on something over Sam's shoulder and her forehead wrinkles.
"What is it?" Sam asks, turning around, trying to follow her eyes.
She nods in the direction of the bar, and Sam can just make out Gabriel, grinning, all over this guy leaning against the bar. He's gesticulating wildly, clearly in the middle of a story, and Sam hears the guy he's talking to laugh, and that laugh sounds awfully familiar...
"Is that Dean?" Jo asks, the disbelief all over her face.
They watch, mesmerised, as Gabriel leans closer, touching Dean's arm, clearly lowering his voice. Sam's not sure how long he's been working Dean, but it's clearly paid off, because Dean leans into him and grins and, holy shit, is he licking his lips?
"That's Gabriel for you," he says, unable to look away. Gabriel says something and Dean nods, and a minute later they're leaving, Dean's hand low on Gabriel's back. Just as they're passing, Gabriel looks over at their table and throws them a wink.
Sam snorts. "He always takes home straight guys," he says, shaking his head. "He plays One Night Stand on Legendary mode."
"Yeah, but Dean, I mean, that's like..."
"He likes a challenge, apparently."
Jo shakes her head and takes another swig of Sam's drink. Then she fixes Sam with a stare.
"What?" he asks, feeling defensive already.
"Did you ever..." She jerks her head in the direction of the door Dean and Gabriel just left through.
"What, no, gross!"
Jo just raises her eyebrows.
"I didn't!" Sam insists. "Besides, I wouldn't count."

"Why not?"
He grins at her. "I'm not straight."
That shuts her up nicely.
