Thursday: On Vacation

My last day... *pout* I shall have to come up with some crazy themes and do this again!

Today's theme is On Vacation.

After yesterday's insanity, our characters really need a break. What do they do to get away from their normal lives?

Please think about our wonderful codemonkeys and use the correct format (the second is for crossovers).

Fandom, Pairing, Prompt
Fandom1/Fandom2, Pairing, Prompt

Firefly, River, Building sand-castles on the beach
Torchwood/Heroes, Jack/Ianto/Gabriel, A broken stopwatch spoils half their vacation plans

Please remember not to post more than 5 prompts in a row and more than 3 prompts per fandom. If one or more of your prompts are answered, you can prompt again later in the day.

If you don't see anything you like, you can always Adopt a Lonely Prompt.

The suite of rooms they'd been assigned for the conference was modern, sumptuous and - for a technophobe of Gibbs' standing - a little awe inspiring.

Tony ran at the over sized acreage of mattress, bouncing once as he flipped onto his back and treating Gibbs to one of his prize winning leers.

"DiNozzo - " Gibbs warned as he dropped his overnight bag in the doorway. "We've got work to do."

"Yeah," Tony arched a brow as he patted the space beside him. "But we've got the rest of the afternoon before we have to - "

"Work." Gibbs snatched up his briefcase and retired to the living area, settling himself on one of the sofas. He opened the case and lifted out a file, flipping it open as he perched his glasses on his nose and began to study it.

Briefly, he glanced over to the bedroom where Tony appeared to be whistling to himself, and packing his stuff away judging by the sound of banging drawers, opening of cupboard doors but when Tony sauntered into the living room, Gibbs did a double take - only too well aware of a growing bulge in his pants. *bastard* he muttered to himself as a very naked and very horny Tony strolled across the lush carpet to the bar area and lifted out a beer bottle.

"Want one?" he asked, bending again to collect up another at Gibbs' nod.

Beer delivered, Gibbs attempted to turn his attention to the file again, trying his best to ignore his lover who was now bending to view the dvd selection below the wall mounted plasma screen - his ass open to a pair of steely blue eyes.

"Tony?"

"Yeah, Boss?" Tony turned, dvd in one hand and the remote control in the other.

"Bathrobe?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you at least put one on till I'm done with this?"

"Why?"

Gibbs lifted the file from his lap and grinned, raking his eyes over Tony's tanned, lithe body - coming to rest at his cock and balls.

"Here's the deal," Tony leered, draping himself over the other end of the sofa and leaving no doubt in Gibbs' mind what he wanted. "I'm gonna grab a shower - have another beer and then I'm going to let you fuck me into the middle of next week." He leaned in, capturing Gibbs' mouth in a light kiss. "How's that sound?"

"Bribing a Federal Agent could land you in big trouble," Gibbs replied hungrily.

"So will fucking one, Boss."

"And - uh - what I said about bathrobes?"

"Yeah?" Tony muttered between nuzzles on Gibbs' neck.

"While we're in here - I want you naked at all times." Their lips met again - only harder, more urgent.

"And if someone should walk in?" Tony breathed as Gibbs' hand circled his aching cock.

"Ever heard of *do not disturb* notices?"

"I'm still confused," Claire confesses as Adelle leads her out onto the back deck, leaning against the railing and looking out to the ocean. "Is it really a vacation if we barely leave the city?"

Adelle can only smile, moving to stand next to her. "A vacation isn't about going far, it's about taking a break. And you said you wanted to go somewhere warm. It's warm here."

"I said that because I figured you'd want to go some place like Hawai'i," the doctor mumbles, watching the waves break against the rocks.

"And that's exactly why I brought you here. You said that because you thought that's what I wanted to do, but I don't think you really wanted to go very far. Besides, I love spending time here. It will be even better with you."

Claire looks up in confusion, studying the other woman's face instead of the waves. "You've been here before?"

Adelle chuckles, but keeps her eyes on the horizon. "Of course I have. This is my house."

The doctor's surprise quickly gives in to worry. "Adelle! What kind of vacation is it for you if this is your home?"

Adelle turn her head with a raised eyebrow and a hint of a smirk. "I said it's my house, Claire. Just because I own it doesn't make it my home. If any place is home it's the Dollhouse, I hardly ever get to be here." She pauses, turning her body fully towards the other woman and leaning forward. "Besides, like I already told you, it's about taking a break. I just want to spend time with you."

She smiles then, full of sincerity, and Claire wraps her arms around her waist to pull her close. "If you say so," she says, sighing against her neck.

"I do." Adelle pulls back, punctuating her words with a short kiss before embracing the doctor again. She looks around, memories of the place flooding back to her, before quietly adding, "Besides, you're already the best thing that's ever happened to me here."

(Slightly over the the character limit. Continued in the next comment!)

Standing in line at the Burbank airport, Claire sighed exasperatedly. She hates lines, disliked them more than Topher’s references to Star Wars, and especially detested them when she was forced to wait with her boss. Adelle had connections, more than imaginable, and Claire felt certain that the older woman could have called someone and had them moved to the front of the crowd of people.

Aside from her intense annoyance, Claire felt severely out of place. She was wearing khaki pants and a white button-up blouse while Adelle wore a sleek black dress that stopped just above her knees and heels that made the younger woman jealous. Given their outfits, Adelle seemed like a celebrity while Claire looked the part of a bodyguard and she didn’t like feeling as if she was a servant to the older woman, no matter how true it was.

“I’ve never heard of this conference,” Claire murmured as she shifted the strap of the bag on her shoulder. “What’s it called again?”

Adelle tightened her grip on her own bag as she stood up a little straighter in an attempt to see to the front of the line. Neither woman could see very far for the length of the line was too long and she instead glanced down at the tickets in her hand. “Doesn’t matter. They just need us there.”

Claire furrowed her brows and stepped closer to Adelle. “Why me? I can understand you going since you’re in charge of our House. But why not Boyd or even Topher?”

“Mr. Langton is significantly less fun and Topher is too much,” Adelle explained fluidly, avoiding Claire’s gaze. “You are just right.”

Taken aback by the statement, Claire dropped the subject. She was curious but knew that Adelle would fill her in when she deemed it time. And until then, Claire would have to find something else to focus on. She glanced around, surveying the thousands of people trying to get around and couldn’t stop the grin that tugged at the corners of her mouth. Watching people was always a good way to pass the time.

She must have been focusing too intently because sometime later, she felt a hand on her arm and discovered it was Adelle. “Are you alright?”

“Fine,” Claire replied at once. She blinked and looked ahead of them to find they were the next pair to be waited on. “I just got distracted.”

Adelle nodded absentmindedly as she stepped forward and Claire was right behind her. The older woman handed the tickets over the counter and smiled at the attendant. “We’ll be in the air soon and you can get distracted by the feel of your ears popping,” Adelle joked quietly.

“Maui?” The attendant asked as he opened the slim folders and pulled out the tickets. “It’s beautiful this time of year.”

At the utterance of words, several things happened at once. Adelle’s face turned a bright shade of red, Claire tilted her head to the side to look at her boss with a million questions in her eyes, and the attendant apologized, thinking he had spoiled a romantic surprise.

“Maui?” Claire repeated. She moved closer to Adelle, making sure only the older woman could hear her voice. “What exactly is going on?”

“W-work conference,” Adelle lamely replied. “I told you we were going to one.”

Claire shook her head. “I think we’re the only ones going to this work conference.”

“No, there really is one going on!”

“In Maui?”

Adelle lowered her gaze, feeling more embarrassed by the second. “Okay, not in Maui. In Chicago,” she explained, watching Claire’s expression change from annoyance to relief and back to annoyance again. “But Chicago isn’t a good vacation spot this time of year! With the snow and everything.”

“It’s June,” Claire offered through gritted teeth. She ran her free hand through her hair, trying to decipher the situation. “We can still get tickets to Chicago and make the conference.”

Adelle held up one hand to stop Claire. “I know it was wrong, tricking you like this. But the way I see it, we’re the hardest working people in that building and we are overdue for a vacation.”

[identity profile] gsr-rocks.livejournal.com 2009-06-18 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
“Chicago would be a vacation.” Claire closed her eyes, attempting to figure out if Adelle had lost her mind. “We would be away from our homes and staying a hotel. I believe those are the stipulations of a vacation.”

“But Maui is warm,” Adelle spoke softly, her voice shifting to a more alluring tone. “We could get massages, lie in the sand, go to parties on the beach. In Chicago, we would be stuck in a hotel listening to people babble about wedges and imprints.”

Claire considered the information silently. One part of her wanted to go to the conference merely because it was expected of her, but the other part desperately wanted to relax on the beach with a cool drink nearby.

“Maui,” Claire finally answered, her apprehension rapidly dissolving. Adelle almost hugged the younger woman but quickly remembered where they were and instead grazed Claire’s elbow with her fingertips, all the while showing a bright smile.

“Good choice, ladies,” the attendant grinned as he began processing their tickets.

With a sideways glance at Adelle, Claire had to agree.

Logan watches as the Cajun stretches himself out gracefully along the towel he's laid out across the roof of the mansion. His blue eyes trail across the smooth, tan flesh before him. He watches as the younger man folds his lightly muscled arms, leaning back on them, a long leg bent up.

It hasn't escaped Logan's attention that Remy's completely naked, laying out where almost anyone could see them.

He pushes the sunglasses down over his nose and looks up to Remy's face - a serious trial considering, "Ye're gonna get us in trouble, kid."

Remy doesn't even turn his head to look at him, simply speaking into the air, "You really need to learn how to relax, cher."

Logan turns away from him again, reaching for one of the beers they'd smuggled onto the roof, "Suit yerself."

He leans back, taking a long drink from his bottle. There's a long moment of silence between them, Remy simply laying there, Logan trying and failing not to watch him.

He rolls his eyes and rests the beer by him before moving his hands to the hem of the jeans he wears.

Remy peers across to watch as the older Canadian strips his own clothes off.

"Why the change o'heart?" He asks.

Logan shrugs and picks his beer up again, "Figure them kids need to see what a real man looks like."
