My last day... *pout* I shall have to come up with some crazy themes and do this again!

Today's theme is On Vacation.

After yesterday's insanity, our characters really need a break. What do they do to get away from their normal lives?

"You... look so different."

Bran cocked his head to one side, his pale hair falling into his eyes. "You look exactly the same, Sais-bach. Well. You've finally got your growth -- you were ever such a runt when we were little. But now you look like your big brother. Stephen, that is. Still mostly just like Will, so ordinary you're not meant to look twice."

Will raised an eyebrow. "Who's not meant to look twice?"

"Anybody. It doesn't work. Everyone can see right through you."

"Nothing to see."

"So you'd have us believe. Look, Will -- maybe this isn't the best way to say I don't care about that. But I don't. I don't care what you are or what you're doing, I just want my best friend back."

"Bran -- "

"So invite me to have lunch with you, already," Bran said, talking over any objection. "I found a nice little place down the road -- not a patch on your aunt Jen's cooking, mind, but it's good, and they have some cakes that taste suspiciously like Welsh cakes. A little piece of home, like. What do you say?"

"Bran," he said, soft, almost tender. "I did miss you."

"Of course you did. Now. Lunch. I'm starving."

I only just found this comm a couple of days ago and this was one of the first prompts I saw. It kind of felt like fate saying "yep, this community is for you". /big The Dark is Rising geek
