A rainy Tuesday - Theme: Weather
Hi guys! Your theme today is weather. Your prompt can be anything weather related, from a calm day at sea, to a thunderstorm, to a tornado that uproots houses and drops them in alternate universes.
I'm still
hobnailedboots and the rules are still the same:
-No more than five prompts in a row.
-No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
-No spoilers in prompts.
-If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space.
-If your prompt is filled, you may prompt again
Prompts should be formatted as follows:
Fandom, Character+/Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Pirates of the Caribbean, Jack Sparrow(/Commander Norrington), calm day at sea
+ Teen wolf, any, thunderstorm on the full moon
+ The Walking Dead, any, a tornado that uproots Hershel's farm and drops the group (and a few walkers) in Oz.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Visit the lonely prompt archive and brighten someone’s day. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.

Fill: "Rainfall"
The sky wept, a long steady rainfall, like a spring rain. No lightning nor thunder, just water falling down out of grey clouds. No one noticed me, tucked up against the abandoned porch. I lay quiet and still, shivering from the cold and damp.
Once upon a time, someone lived here, someone loved here. There are remnants of that family scattered about the yard. Near me, a toy car, with worn metal paint sits on its side. A plastic cup catches some of the rain, but I’m too tired to go drink. It’s been long, this life of mine, and most of it spent alone, shuffling from place to place, searching for food and a safe place to catch a nap. Safe places are hard to find now. People are cruel, and frightened, and look at strangers like a plague. Not worthy, something to be burned out rather than accepted.
It’s all right. I understand. I would’ve done the same. I have had to fight to protect what few things are mine – a hollow to sleep in, a hard crust of bread. I bear scars from those battles, some still ache from time to time.
All of them hurt now. There isn’t any part that doesn’t. I wish I didn’t hurt, wasn’t cold, but I know it’s not going to be much longer, and I won’t care any more. There won’t be anything in me to care, or to be in pain.
A drop hit me on the top of my head, rolling down. It was like a cold tear, falling on my cheek. The only mourning for my life. I close my eyes and let it go.
Re: Fill: "Rainfall"
Thank you!
