Monday: Overused/Underused Words
Hey, y'all, I'm
cascadewaters, it's Monday, and thus begins my host week. Today's theme is 'overused/underused words.' Responses should in some way touch on this theme.
To review the rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Examples:
Supernatural, Dean Winchester, "If I hear one more person say 'amazing...'"
Once Upon a Time, Hook (Killian Jones), dragoon
Any crossover, two youngest characters, 'well, this is super annoying...'
Any fandom *other than* The Princess Bride, any, 'I don't think that word means what you think it means'
Glee, Blaine Anderson, disagreement, disapproval, fear and hate are not the same thing
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2015 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Fill: (Drabble) Pooh Bear and Rabbit
“What do you mean?” Pooh asked.
“I mean you are a fool. Your only thought is for the satisfaction of your own physical desires. You have no appreciation of the ascetics of life.”
“Pardon?”
“You eat too much! You have no erudition and your vocabulary is unfortunately limited to words of one syllable.”
Winnie-the-Pooh looked crossly at Rabbit. “You may think I am a bear of very little brain, but I do understand what defenestration means.”
And he promptly demonstrated by throwing Rabbit out of the window.

I...
I'm grinning and I have no words to adequately describe the joy of reading this.

Strangely enough, defenestration is one of my favourite words, so I couldn't miss the opportunity of writing for it.

Fill - Lupin III
And I didn't even get to finish my noodles, thinks Lupin as he races to the ground.
Head over heels he gets a view of the city he'll likely never see again, if he makes it. Buildings turn into blue-grey streaks of glass while he thinks/prays, C'mon, call in the cavalry already...
Bang! Netting surrounds Lupin, cradling him in midair.
"Thanks, Jigen. I owe you one."
Jigen smiles as he reels in Lupin. "Anytime."
