In the past, we used to have a "winner" who completed the most fills every day, and at the end of the week, we'd announce an overall winner. But this time around, we're doing things differently! There are no winners or “losers”, just prompts that have been filled. At the end of the week, we'll be sharing a round-up post of all the lonely prompts that have been filled.

Thursday's Theme: Outside Point Of View.

If you leave a request, please make sure it follows the theme for the day and that each request is a new comment.

You are more than welcome to fill any and all lonely prompts, but only the prompts filled for the current theme will be counted for the daily totals. I will however include a list of those who filled other prompts when I do the round-up at the end of the week.

You can browse through the comm's calendar archive (here on LJ or here on DW) for themed and Free For All posts, or perhaps check out Sunday posts for Lonely Prompt requests. (Or, you can be like me, and try to save interesting prompts as you see 'em... and then end up with multiple text doc files full of [themes + links + prompts] that you can easily look through and search for keywords.) Multiple fills for one prompt are welcome, by the way! Oh, and you are very likely to find some awesome fills to read as well, and wouldn't it be nice to leave a comment on those lovely little writing distractions? ~_^

It doesn’t have to be all Krampus. Jam the Yule Cat in there if you’d like. Southern hemisphere folk is there some light and bright folklore for this time of year for you?

simplyn2deep and today's theme is Found in Translation. This theme explores moments when characters misunderstand, reinterpret, or discover meaning in unexpected ways. Whether through language, body cues, mixed messages, or unspoken feelings, something gets “lost” or “found” in translation, and the story changes.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full name and fandom's full name for ease in adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ any, any, character finds a note meant for someone else and completely misinterprets its meaning.
+ any, any, two characters talk around the truth instead of saying it outright. Show how their indirect communication reveals more than the words themselves.
+ any, any, character learns that a phrase, symbol, or gesture they’ve always misunderstood actually means something entirely different. Let this revelation shift the scene.

If, perhaps, you missed a prompt theme that you liked, or you've had any ideas that didn't really work with Tuesday's or Thursday's posts, then today's your chance to prompt 'em. Be free, and have fun! ✎

Multiple fills for one prompt are welcome, by the way! Oh, and you are very likely to find some awesome fills to read as well, and wouldn't it be nice to leave a comment on those lovely little writing distractions? ~_^
