Date: 2010-07-20 02:51 am (UTC)"You're cheating!" Kitty yelled from where she and Bobby were hiding behind some snow covered bushes.
"It's a snowball fight. Of course I'm cheating!" John yelled back and grinned at Rogue who grinned back and mouthed a thanks at him.
“I’m not.” Bobby complained.
Rogue and John both rolled their eyes at that:
“You would if turning snowballs to ice wouldn’t kill us all.” Rogue grinned at John’s words. The other side was silent for a few moments until an armada of snowballs came flying.
John used both hands to counter them with fireballs while Rogue used the noise to sneak away from their hideout until she reached Kitty’s and Bobby’s, who were still distracted with pelting John with snowballs.
She grabbed two handful of snow and stuffed them down Kitty’s neckline before she could vanish and yelled: “Got you!”
John sprinted over the lawn separating them, jumped over the bushes and tackled a surprised and confused Bobby into the snow. While the two boys rolled around in the snow Kitty had vanished from Rogue’s grip and re-materialised a few feet away to restart her snowball attack, this time without any cover that Rogue countered without any hesitation. At least until:
“I surrender!” Bobby yelled pantingly: “I surrender.”
Both girls stopped and turned around to see that John had wound himself around Bobby like an octopus and held on tight.
“Bobby, you loser.” Kitty groused and hit him with her last snowball.
“And another win for Team Awesome.” John held his hand up and Rogue high fived him.
“We’re going back inside. You’re coming?” She asked John and Bobby who hadn’t moved.
“Just give a few minutes.” John grinned smugly and gave them a pointed look. Kitty huffed and grabbed Rogue’s hand to drag her with her:
“Let’s go. If Bobby gets celebratory loser sex then I want some, too.”
“Is that what you’re going to tell Piotr?” Rogue asked laughingly but followed her.
As soon as the two girls were gone far enough John held Bobby’s arms down his wrists with one hand and used the other to open Bobby’s jacket.
“Are you kidding me?” Bobby protested: “It’s like seven below out here.”
“One more reason to be quick, isn’t it?” John replied and with a few difficulties began to unbutton Bobby’s shirt. Bobby shivered when John’s cold, damp hand slid over his naked chest.
“You could help me, you know?” John said and Bobby very pointedly looked upwards where John still held his hands down.
“Oh, right, my fault.” John smirked and let go. Instead of taking revenge and opening John’s coat Bobby opened his jeans and grabbed John’s hand.
“I don’t believe this.” John said, half surprised when his hand found Bobby’s half-hard cock.
“I’m an animal.” Bobby answered smugly: “Could you concentrate? It’s getting really cold down here.”
A few minutes later John helped Bobby up and brushed snow from his own trousers.
“I can’t believe we actually did this, here.” Bobby muttered as he buttoned his shirt. He tried to corner John against a tree but John ducked away:
“I owe you.” Bobby said frowning.
“Nah, we have a big and warm bed waiting inside.”
“So you get the bed and I ge the snow covered ground. Nice.” Bobby replied ironically. John shrugged, a devilish smirk forming on his lips:
“If you can get it up again, I’ll blow in the shower.” He winked at Bobby and headed off for the mansion.

Date: 2009-12-20 01:05 am (UTC)Adam's initially resistant, he asks Mac for "just a little while longer." It's an average Tuesday morning when the decision is taken out of his hands. There's a small accident at work when he's testing a sample. He cuts himself on a shard of glass and goes to get a band-aid. It's the smallest of cuts but Mac comes into the break room to check on him. They're alone so Mac takes Adam's hand to kiss it better. They hear a soft oh from the doorway and turn to see Stella smiling at them, she offers a congratulations and walks away before they can react. Mac turns back to Adam expecting worry or embarrassment but his lover is smiling. "She knows Mac and it's okay. I don't want to do a big announcement but maybe we should tell people." Mac is proud of him and agrees readily. Work is not really the place for affection as they've just learned but he presses his lips to Adam's briefly.
Danny and Mac are at a scene later that day and as they work Mac tells him that he and Adam are together. "Oh, didn't see that coming. You happy Mac?"
"Very."
"Then good for you. Adam's a great guy."
Danny's lack of questions or surprise is great for Mac and they quietly go about processing the rest of the scene.
Adam's nervous but Sheldon was really helpful when he first started at the lab. They're more work friends than anything but he doesn't know how to start the conversation. In the end it comes out more awkward than he'd have liked. "Sheldon, could I.... I mean I need to tell you." He pauses for a breath, "I'm with Mac and we wanted the team to know." Sheldon looks surprised, "I didn't know Mac was gay."
"Oh so you thought I was?"
Sheldon replies quickly, "no I just meant Mac's been married before, suppose that makes him bi. I'm not judging. It's nice that you've found each other."
They end up chatting about the case and when Sheldon leaves he gives Adam a see you later like he would any other time and Adam's relieved.
Stella drops by seemingly just to make him blush but then tells him Mac's a great guy and lucky to have Adam. "I'm really relieved Stella, thought there might be a bad reaction or accusations of favouritism."
"Mac doesn't give special treatment Adam, we all know that. Your work is good and if you get praise it's not because you're sleeping with the boss." Oh that was deliberate, designed to make him flush red again. "Thanks Stella."
When he and Mac meet up for lunch Adam looks happy. They trade stories and agree that Mac will tell Don and Sid if Adam tells Lindsay. Over dinner that night they report back, Sid had been accepting if a little distracted. Mac admits he chose a mid-autopsy moment on purpose. Adam tells him that Lindsay wished them both luck. "What about Don?"
"Danny told him, big mouth, but Don still let me stumble over my words for a few minutes before telling me he already knew."
They know the team are probably comparing notes and speculating on how they missed the signs but it's good that there was no drama. Adam reaches across the table and takes Mac's hand in his, "I'm glad they know Mac, makes us open to scrutiny but also makes it more real." Mac kind of understands what Adam means, relationships can't exist in a vacuum. "I'm happy too, means we can have lots more lunches together without having to watch our every move." They take their drinks over to the sofa but they're soon abandoned in favour of an intense make out session. Yeah their friends know but it's still nice to take tonight for them.

Date: 2009-12-19 01:33 pm (UTC)Quotation from Men At Arms by Terry Pratchett
In Destiny's Fall Out (PG-13)
Date: 2010-12-24 04:01 am (UTC)It made Arthur want to laugh, only it really, really didn't. What would the Court think if ever faced with what he thought of in the dead of night? When the candles were burned down to their wick and the fire was dying out and no one was around to hear him mutter to himself. When Merlin wasn't around to hear him call out his name in that perfect haze of bliss. And that was the problem. Merlin was never around because he never wanted to be around. Why would he?
Artur knew Merlin loved him, but like a best friend would. Maybe even like a little boy loves his older brother and it made it all so fucked up. Who was he to disrupt those little moments of peace the two of them had simply because he wanted them to last longer? For gentle shoves and laughingly given touches to stop being so damn innocent. Kisses and touches and so much more. More than Merlin would ever want to give him.
Perhaps that made him greedy, and maybe slightly insane. It might be the whole point of it all. He knew of all that destiny crap Merlin ranted on about when he thought no one was listening and it seemed a fitting role for Merlin to slip into in the future. A man so unknowingly powerful just by the words he spewed at a man who just so happened to be king. A King of Camelot, of Albion if he were to believe Merlin's mutterings, brought down upon his knees and made a better person for the want of a manservant. Not for a Queen or an heir or a better kingdom in which to rule, but for a love that will never be his.

Date: 2011-12-30 04:04 pm (UTC)Steve sighed and shook his head, looking up from where he knelt on the floor. "It was your idea," he shot back. "You're the one who basically begged me to handcuff you to the bed, remember?" He ignored the cusses Christian spat at him and turned his attention back to hunting for the key that had been knocked off the table, and fallen under the bed.
"Didn't expect you to lose the fuckin' key!"
"You bucked so hard you knocked me into the table," Steve replied, voice muffled. "Don't know why I don't just leave you there..."
"Cos if you do, you'll never get fucked again."
"There's plenty of other folk willing to fuck me, to let me fuck... ah-hah!" He grabbed the key and backed out from under the bed, climbing back onto it and straddling Christian. He twirled the key around his finger and smirked at Christian. "Now, how are you going to persuade me to uncuff you?"

Date: 2009-12-19 01:59 pm (UTC)CSI, Nick/Greg, reconnecting
Date: 2010-01-24 07:02 pm (UTC)The thing, though, is he misses Greg. That's the plain and simple truth. He's going out of his mind, wondering at every moment what Greg is doing right now. And it's not like how he misses Warrick when he hasn't seen him for a while. This is a different kind of ache.
So one day, he tries to get both his and Greg's day off to concede and picks up two extra tickets for a baseball game. He's going back on his promise to never see Greg outside of work because that would be just asking for trouble. And he honestly thought this crush - or whatever it was- would go away with time, what with not being in Greg's presence all the time and working nonstop, but it obviously hasn't helped at all.
But, he guesses he has his answer now. It's time to reconnect with Greg and not be afraid to see where that goes.

Date: 2010-01-09 05:55 pm (UTC)"Wake up, Mac!" Adam shakes him, and Mac slowly opens his eyes. He steals a quick glance at the clock and sees that it is six in the morning. He groans and looks up to Adam who is grinning down.
"Come on. The presents will be still there..." Mac says. "I need to sleep!"
"Mac! Aren't you excited?" Adam says. "It's our first Christmas together. I wanna spend the whole, whole day with you."
Adam jumps down beside Mac and wraps his arms around Mac's waist. Mac chuckles. Adam plants little kisses around his neck.
"Wakey, wakey," Adam whispers. Mac rolls his eyes and suddenly he shares Adam's excitement and throws the duvet off.
"Come on then," Mac says and Adam beams as he gets up from the bed.
"Last to get there, makes breakfast!" Adam giggles as he runs out of the bedroom.
Mac shakes his head and follow his excited partner.
When he arrives in the living room, Adam hands a present to Mac.
"Open it," Adam grins.
Mac raises an eyebrow. "For me? I wonder who it's from."
Mac looks at the label and finds that the present is from Adam. He grins as he opens the present to find a nice silver watch.
"Turn it over," Adam exclaims. Mac frowns and he turns the watch over to find some writings on it.
M, I love you always, A
Mac feels emotional and looks at Adam. He smiles as he says, "I love you too."
Mac pulls Adam up and take his face into his hands. He kisses Adam softly. "Thank you."
Adam melts into the kiss.

Puck knows that Kurt's mom is dead, and he doesn't really talk about her, even though Puck would be good and at least try to listen if he wanted to talk about her, because Kurt is all about feelings and stuff. He's even told Kurt that before, and when Kurt thanked him he seemed sincere, so it takes Puck a little while to figure out what the problem is when his partner gets quiet around Christmas.
Puck hasn't celebrated Christmas before, but he knows it's supposed to be friendly and joyous or something like that; like Hanukkah but crammed into one day. He's seen all the holiday specials, and he's never seen one like this, when he comes into Kurt's dad's room and finds Kurt on the floor, his eyes shut, and the dresser drawer open.
He thinks he moves like a ninja, but Kurt sits up suddenly, looking almost panicked when he sees Puck. Puck can smell a lady's perfume on the air, and without thinking, he says, "That's nice."
Kurt sniffles, and says, "Yeah. If I'm away too long, sometimes I think I'll forget what she smelled like."
He gets up and closes the drawer gently, and that's when Puck realizes what Kurt is talking about. It has been strange to come home on break, but something about walking into his mother's house and smelling latkes and laundry detergent and all of those things that mean "mom" to him is incredibly comforting. This is all that Kurt has-- a drawer of clothes that his father is too torn to throw out. It really sucks, Puck thinks. Mrs. Hummel was probably pretty awesome, if her husband and son were anything to judge by. (Once Burt had realized that Puck wasn't just jerking his son around, he'd turned out to be a pretty cool guy.)
"Nah," Puck says, "you have a really good memory. I would have totally failed Freshman Bio without you."
He puts a hand on Kurt's shoulder, and Kurt looks up at him and rolls his eyes. His eyes are a little red, but not very much, so Puck guesses that he hasn't been crying for very long, which is good. He's resigned to Kurt's emotionality but that doesn't mean he likes it when his boyfriend is unhappy.
"That isn't the same thing at all," he returns, but reaches up to brush Puck's hand, and after a moment's sigh, he pulls Puck gently out of the room.

Date: 2009-12-20 03:43 pm (UTC)It was movie-night in the mansion. An intermission had been called and the movie was on pause. Jean and Logan were in the kitchen fetching snacks and bantering back and forth.
"Well, for one thing, he's tall, dark, and handsome," Jean said with a wicked grin in reply to Logan's question.
Logan chuckled, then he shot back, "Y'know, I've noticed that when you bend over, the height difference between us ain't a big deal."
Jean actually blushed as she carefully -- and a bit regretfully -- backed away from the kitchen table.
