Hi, I'm (still)
atomic89 and I'm back again with the second theme of the week: Solo. Basically you can only have one character in your prompt - so no couples/threesomes/moresomes!
Please remember not to leave more than five prompts in a row and no more than three per fandom per prompter. You are, of course allowed to come back later and add more once yours have been answered.
Spoilers are not allowed in your prompts until a week (7 days) has passed from the original air date. If the fic contains spoilers please mark it clearly and leave at least three spaces before the prompt/fic.
Don't forget to format your prompts correctly, for example:
If you can't find the perfect prompt for you here, don't forget to check out the Lonely Prompts! There are loads of wonderful prompts just begging to be written!

Date: 2009-12-24 08:02 am (UTC)She blinks steadily, gripping the edge of a nearby desk to pull herself to her feet. Memory comes back to her, as if everything tumbles back into place in her head by the mere act of being vertical again. Topher Brink punched her. Over Caroline.
Caroline, Caroline, Caroline. The name is like a bitter curse and the sting in her jaw is replaced by a sharp prick and a copper taste of blood- she must have bitten down too hard in agitation. By now, Caroline has likely fled and Topher with her, and were she the type to quibble over such things as fairness, she might have thrown a tantrum, but tantrums are for the less controlled and fair is a wholly nonsensical concept. Nothing is fair. Why quibble over something that no one person can claim to have perfect clarity on?
She'll soldier on. There's work to be done and further analysis of the situation must be conducted. Topher is an odd factor, something she wishes she could place, but irrational emotions lead to her casting him to the side for the time being. She's unhappy- perhaps heartbroken, but that's just vernacular. He chose Caroline over her, and that's just one more thing she can blame on the woman.
Caroline's time will come, however. Of that, she is certain.

Date: 2010-04-04 10:02 pm (UTC)And so he pulls the trigger…
He stares down at Strickler’s corpse. He doesn’t know what he’ll do if his notice clears, but he knows that a life without her will be a meaningless one.
His priorities may have changed, but he has someone to hold on to now. And the only trick will lie in telling her.

Date: 2011-01-24 11:33 pm (UTC)He knows it’ll be him, in the end. He’ll be the one who soldiers on, keeps moving, always ageless and always alone.
George has Nina, and while they probably won’t have a house full of kids and a minivan, they’ll have each other and they’re so in love it’s enough for them. They’ll tire of him and the drama eventually, find a place together and make a life outside of this craziness.
Annie will hang around longer, but with George gone it’s just a matter of time before they drift apart and she decides moving on is the better choice. They might be immortal, the pair of them, but they’re too different to stay together long without George and family and love to keep them. She’s an echo of life and he’s a bloody pantomime; the girl who makes endless cups of tea she can never drink and the man who drinks them when all he wants is blood.
It’ll be him, in the end. Cold and alone and probably mad come the final days of the world. But they’ll be waiting, Annie and George and probably Nina too, waiting on the other side bitching that he took his sweet time about it, and won’t that be grand.
