Imagine Your OTP Friday
Good Friday my darlings, we have survived another week together, so let us rejoice! Friday's theme is Imagine Your OTP. There are Tumblrs and Twitters dedicated to the concept as well as just picturing your OTP just doing stuff. Also applicable to BROTPs and QPRships.
Also! If anyone else is interested in signing up for guest hosting duties please pop over to this post and fill in your details ♥
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Star Trek any tv, anypair, Imagine Your OTP talking about weird dreams they've had.
+ Good Omens, Aziraphale/Crowley, Imagine your OTP cuddling
+ Any (please no SPN), anypair, Person A: ...
Person B: ...
Person A: For the last time, we are NOT going to challenge people to duel at our wedding just because we proposed to each other with swords.
Person B: Then what’s the point???
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2020 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Fill Magnum PI (2018) Noelani/Katsumoto
When his cell phone goes off in the middle of the night, years of long training means that Katsumoto can roll over and answer it even before he’s fully awake. He registers the number as he answers it, knows it’s a work call so he sits up on the edge of the bed, rubs his eyes as he takes in the particulars, then sighs as he hangs up the phone, glances at the clock on the display.
He’d really been hoping for a few more hours of sleep.
Another sigh and he’s on his feet, navigating the room by the light of his phone to find the clothes that are scattered around the floor. He just hopes they’re not too rumpled - he’s going without sleep, he could definitely do without the walk of shame jokes.
He jumps as a bedside light comes on, turns to see Noelani dropping her hand from the switch, burying her face into the pillow. “Turn on the light,” she mumbles, or at least that’s what he thinks she says.He doesn’t try to hide his smile.
“Thanks.” With the light on, he finds his clothes quickly, frowning at how wrinkled they are, wonders if it’s worth starting to keep at least a spare shirt here. That’s a conversation for another time, though, so he pulls on the shirt as is, thanking his lucky stars that all the buttons are intact this time.
By the time he’s dressed, she’s rolled onto her back, is blinking sleepily up at him. Her eyes are a question without words and he sits down beside her, stealing a minute. “They found Hastings in a house in Wailua,” he tells her. “SWAT’s on the way... I have to go.”
Her exhale of breath manages to convey both fatigue and worry. “Be careful,” she says and he smiles softly, reaching out to run a hand down her cheek. She nuzzles into the touch, her eyes closing, her cheeks flushing and the urge to say to hell with everything and crawl back in beside her is almost overpowering.
Instead, he leans down to kiss her. He intends it to be brief but her hand goes to the back of his head, holding him in place and he gladly surrenders to her. It doesn’t last long - Noelani knows the job, understands it - and when he pulls away, he takes a mental picture of her sleepy smile to get him through the rest of the day.
“I’ll see you later,” he says, pressing a last brief kiss to the top of her head as he snaps off the light.
“Okay.” She’s already half asleep by the time he gets to the door, and he stops when a sleepy mumble reaches his ears. “Love you.”
He turns back but he can only make out the shape of her body, still lying in bed, and from the sound of her breathing, he knows that she’s fully asleep, probably isn’t even aware of what she’s just said.
But he is.
Smiling into the darkness, he doesn’t think twice about his response. “I love you too.”

Fill - Prodigal Son
Characters/Pairings: Malcolm Bright/Dani Powell
Summary: Malcolm has plans for an unusual date, something he’s wanted to share with someone for a long while and now seemed like the perfect time
Notes: It was funny. Last week I was watching the Perseid meteor shower thinking I really would have loved to share the experience with someone and then this prompt came up. I had to jump on it.

Fill Magnum PI Gordon/Noelani
When Noelani hears the front door opening, followed immediately by the giggles of a three year old girl, she can't help herself from smiling. Partly because Alana's giggles are entirely contagious, partly because Dennis's three year old daughter has Gordon wrapped around both little fingers, turning the normally quiet and taciturn ex-detective into a smiling, spoiling marshmallow. It’s a whole new side to him and Noelani loves to see it.
Of course, where one is the spoiler, someone has to take the opposite tack so when she sees the tell tale stains on Alana's t-shirt, she lifts both eyebrows and watches as her husband has the grace to look guilty. "Ice cream? This close to dinner?"
She’s not really mad. She just wants to see what excuse Gordon will come up with this time. He shrugs. "The playground was warm," he says, "and all that swinging and sliding is hard work. Isn't that right?" He tickles Alana's tummy and from her perch on his hip, she squeals with delight. Noelani can't deny it; that sound is almost as adorable as her giggles.
"You can tell Dennis," she says, keeping her face perfectly straight and Gordon, as she'd thought he might, goes straight for the big guns.
"Why don't you give Tutu a big kiss?" he says to the little girl and she gladly acquiesces, launching herself at Noelani, pressing sloppy kisses to her cheek as Noelani takes her from Gordon. She returns the child's hug with one of her own, then pulls back and looks at the t-shirt. There's no saving it so she does the only thing she can.
"Come on, ipo," she says. "Let's go get you a new t-shirt."
Gordon grins. “You know, it might be a while since I’ve been on the force, but I’m pretty sure hiding evidence makes you an accomplice after the fact.”
He’s teasing her and she laughs. “Is that why you married me?” she quips. “Spousal privilege from testifying against you?”
Despite the child on her hip, Gordon’s arm sneaks around her waist and he leans in to kiss her cheek. “One of many reasons,” he jokes, though his laugh is for a different reason as Alana takes the opportunity to press a sloppy kiss to his cheek as well.
“I’ll show you the other reasons tonight,” he promises, low in her ear so that Alana won’t overhear them and, later on, when Dennis has collected his daughter and the house is quiet, he makes good on his word.
