Thursday: Three Sentences

Howdy! We’ve made it to Thursday, and I remain [livejournal.com profile] 4bdnsn0wflake, and today’s theme is 3 Sentences.

Prompts can be anything, but fills should be three sentences long (or multiples thereof).

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt

Some examples to get the ball rolling...

+ Lucifer (TV), Lucifer Morningstar/Chloe Decker, date night

+ Harry Potter, Harry Potter/Ginny Weasley, Happy Anniversary

+ MCU, Wade Wilson/Adult Peter Parker, sarcasm is my specialty

+ Author’s choice, any character(s), that was unexpected

We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2021 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.

While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Fill with MCU, Sam Wilson/Bucky Barnes

It’s because the kid looks like someone he killed in Goyang, that’s why Bucky freezes — not freezes, hesitates; that he’s able to hesitate now, he’s actually proud of that — pulls his punch, doesn’t leave him unconscious on the ground, wires crossed.

“Are you kidding me,” Sam yells afterwards, shoving Bucky, both hands on his shoulders, “are you kidding me,” and maybe his wires are crossed too because Bucky can’t tell if he’s trying to push him away or haul him close.

“If I’mma lose you in a fight it ain’t gonna be because of some—“ wires are criss-crossing all over the place but when Bucky’s back hits the brick wall and Sam’s barely breaking off his diatribe to press invectives into his mouth — blood and adrenaline; more battle than kiss — Bucky doesn’t fight back and there’s no hesitation, not for this his first, best surrender.

Oh unexpected kisses! Fun! I love that Bucky is proud of his ability to hesitate (I'm proud of him too) and then Sam getting upset about the idea of losing him.

there’s no hesitation, not for this his first, best surrender.
I really love the way you phrased that.

You painted a great picture and told such a story while really capturing their dynamic with ease. Could definitely see it go down like this.

Great job!

Fill Magnum Pi (2018) Katsumoto/Noelani

[identity profile] helsinkibaby.livejournal.com 2021-06-10 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)

“That was...” Noelani’s voice trails off as she looks up at Gordon, her cheek pillowed on his chest, his arm looped comfortably around her shoulders, fingers tracing idle patterns on her skin.

“Unexpected?” he tries and she giggles her agreement, cheeks heating partly in shyness, partly because of the way his fingers are sending little sparks of electricity zapping down her spine. “But welcome,” he adds and she hears the question in the afterthought.

She smiles her answer, pushes herself up so that her face is level with his.

“Very welcome,” she whispers before kissing him and showing him in deeds rather than words just how welcome it is.
