“Go and have a word with Harry,” Malcolm said to Ros when she came onto the Grid.
“Why?” Ros asked.
Malcolm nodded towards Lucas, who was happily eating a cheese roll, and looking as if there was absolutely nothing going on.
“Okay!” Ros agreed.
She knocked on the door and went into Harry’s office. “What’s he done this time?” she asked.
Harry shook his head. “He’s done nothing. It’s just the way he does it. He irks me.” Harry paused, then added, “He’s irksome.”
“Right, I’ll go and have a word with him.”
Ros went back out and over to Lucas’ desk. “Do try not to be irksome,” she said. “And don’t give me that butter wouldn’t melt in your mouth expression!”
