"early" to bed

Finding no new stories on AO3 that catch my interest to read and the same for my flist here and at DW, looks like I won't be going to bed at dawn.

This is good because I have to go to work Friday.

I'm almost finished with season 1 of Hawaii Five-0. Got 2 more episodes to watch. Trying to decide if I should wait until Sunday or Monday to watch them.

And speaking on TV...while I am luckily enough to be able to download episodes to watch them, this is by far the longest I've gone without actually watching TV. It's been close to a year since the digital converter box went out on the tv in my room and then somewhere between March and May, the digital converter box for the living room went out. All that's left is the one in my parents room. Should that go out, I think we'll be screwed. They refuse to pay for cable. Personally I think it would be cheaper to get cable tv, internet and phone but I'm not going to be saddled with that bill alone. I rarely, if ever, use the house phone, I have a DSL cord extended to my room bc my dad thinks he's some computer genius or something and every time he tries to set up wireless internet, something goes wrong and we have to go back to dsl. and they're paying like $150 for phone and internet and the internet is crappy.

Winding down. before I go to bed tho, I need to take the trash out.

it needs to be Halloween

I just thought of a stupid crack!fic I want to do for Halloween.

But first, I'll have to watch the Halloween episode of Hawaii Five-0 when it airs..just so that I get stuff right





oh and not going to work today lol I went to sleep at 8 am because I was reading this fic. it was 5 chapters but they were LONG and the last 3 chapters kind of...weren't as great as they could have been. I mean, stuff mentioned in the 2 previous chapters left you wondering in the last 3 chapters...and the characters, at least as far has H50 was concerned, weaved in and out of being them - the voice wasn't right all the time. It could have been an AU but I don't remember seeing that in the notes.

anyways...I haven't eaten yet and i'm hungry and I don't think there's anything in the kitchen I want to eat
