Hello, we are at day two of our weekend challenge.

usually I can get in a couple of hrs of reading on AO3 on Sunday mornings before I have to go to Choir rehearsal, but today that didn't happen. I had a meeting to prep for and there was LOTS of prep to do. Then I had to inventory supplies for next Sunday's Thanksgiving dinner and I didn't get to finish before my meeting. after the meeting was choir and I didn't get home until 5 pm.

I read all the LJ bookmarked fic and now I'm setting in to start on the AO3 bookmarked fic...and there's quite a bit of it. Luckily there isn't any on ff.net or I'd put my hair out in frustration.

yes!

I think I just found the story I'm going to work on for Christmas! oh so happy!

basically, I was reading filthy filthy H50 porn (filthy in the most awesome way!) when I got the Christmas song, Let it Snow stuck in my head. So of course I had to look up the lyrics so sing it, then that led to singing Little Drummer Boy and finally found the lyrics to Twelve Days of Christmas and boom! story!

I suck at summaries but this is the jest: It's Christmas and someone's reeking havoc across Oahu without a rhyme or reason to the crimes being committed. A break in the case doesn't happen until the ninth day when nine visiting ballerinas go missing just before the Christmas performance of The Nutcracker. Can 5-0 find the "ten lords a leaping" and solve this case or will they be forced to wait out the twelve days of Christmas?. or you know, something like that. epic case fic that I hope I'll be able to work on/post all of December.

now if only the muses for my other stories I NEED to finish would get their act together, this would be awesome!

all of the ideas I had swirling around in my head for my [livejournal.com profile] h50_holidayswap fic just weren't exciting enough or something for my muse and I was really stressing out that I wasn't going to have enough time to write a minimum 1000 words in 34 days.

so I turn to my often forgotten Daily Writing Practice prompt list and I'm skimming through it to see what pops out...and boy did something pop out! In an hour I've written 500 words and I know there's more. I've gotten the beginning and ending written, it's just a matter of filling in the middle. I will continue to work on it until I can't think of anything else to write and I know it'll be good.

I'd like to finish it by Thanksgiving though. I hate having to worry about writing stuff during Thanksgiving because that day already stresses me out as it is.
