Welcome to a fabulous Friday! I'm jaune_chat, and I've really enjoyed hosting this week! After all we've gone through, I'd like to wrap it up with today's theme of Aftermath. After the dust settles, the fight is done, the sun rises on the morning after, or the curtain falls, what happens next?

yeah...I don't have the kind of business that needs employees

I have a Notary "business" and today got a letter from the EDD (unemployment in the state of CA) advertising that since I have a business, if I wanted to list it with them to get employees, I could...and they gave me a form to fill out and fax.

Sorry. I don't have a business like that. I'm pretty sure they got my information from when I renewed my business license with the city I live in. I wouldn't have even shelled out the money for it if I wasn't so paranoid someone would find out that I am a notary in the city without a business license.

The super sucky part is, I've advertised with a lot of people that I'm a notary and I've given out business cards, and then find out from others that a lot of the people I TOLD I was a notary, went to others to have documents notarized, and then they're like "well I didn't know you could do that!"

OMG! so yeah, for the last 14 months or so, I haven't notarized a darn thing. $100+ going to waste. I don't think I'm going to renew my notary license come December 20, 2014 unless I start putting it to use now.
