So, I just lost a filling in a broken tooth. Looks like it's time to make a dentist appointment.

It's been 4 or 5 years since I was last at the dentist, so I'm in definite need of a cleaning (at the least) and I have 4 or 5 broken or missing back teeth (how I'm still able to eat is a mystery to me!)

So long as the dental work I need to have done doesn't top $5000, I'll be okay to pay using my credit card (and adjust my spending yet again to cover those monthly payments) since I don't have insurance.

I just don't want to deal with the disapproving looks from the dentist and the assistant.

eta since it's been so long, I couldn't remember the name of my dentist, but by some sort of awesomeness, we had the magnet for the dental office on the fridge, so I look them up to see if it's the same location, and it is! So I made an online appointment and should hear back from then between 1 and 3 today (I hope).

this is me anxious again...

appointment has been made for August 21 at 1 pm

I think I'll need to leave home at 11:30 and then I'll get to the dentist around 12:30. That'll give me enough time to make sure my teeth (and breath) are clean and find the office (it's been a while since I was there).

Hello again! This is [livejournal.com profile] ravenspear, still being your guest host

Today is Tuesday, and we're revisiting one of my favorite themes: Dictionary Definitions! Your prompt should be the definition of a word, lifted from whatever dictionary you fancy (dictionary.com is good for those who don't have dead tree versions lying around).

The rules are simple:
♥ No more than five "live" prompts at any time. If one of your prompts are filled, then you can prompt again.
♥ In the name of variety, no more than three prompts per fandom.
♥ No spoilers in your prompt until a week after air/publication date, and if your fill contains spoilers you must mark clearly (bold, bright red, whatever is noticable) and leave at least three spaces so people can scroll by.

Prompts should be formatted in the way that is most pleasing to our beloved codemonkey overlords.

Examples:
Avengers; Loki; vicious, wanton, or mischievous in motivation or purpose.
Leverage; Parker/Hardison/Eliot; any blemish remaining as a trace of or resulting from injury or use.
Firefly/Battlestar Galactica; River/Leoben; to contain a fire.

And if you don't find any prompts to your liking, maybe you can find something in the Lonely Prompt Archives?
