When I heard there was going to be a remake of the Patrick Swazye, Charlie Sheen, Jennifer Grey made Red Dawn, I was kind of upset. Remakes tend to suck but there is the rare occassion when it doesn't.

Then I put it out of my mind...until I saw some people asking for screencaps from the trailer in one of the capping communities I belong to and today I saw the lovely picture of Chris Hemsworth. If he's in it, I need to see it!

So I went in search of the trailer (for some reason, embedding the actual trailer isn't working)

holy crap! I think this might be better than the original...AND WILL YUN LEE (Sang Min on Hawaii Five-0)! oh, and Tom Cruise's son is in it as well

will be adding some graphics made from the trailer later today

heard back from the school. the e-mail is/was legit.

apparently my username is my name plus my original password.

so I log in for more information and get this message:

You are not yet eligible to register for graduation because you have an outstanding balance. To pay this balance, please contact Victoria Goykhman, Tuition Financing Specialist, at (xxx) xxx-xxxx, extension xxx. Once your balance is paid in full, you will be able to register for graduation. If you feel you have received this message in error, please contact Stephanie Perez at (xxx) xxx-xxxx, extension xxx.

Umm whut? As far as I know, the only "outstanding balance" I have are my student loans. And I don't think I would have been able to graduate, as it were, if I owed anything else. So now I have to call back and see what this mess is all about.

But besides that, there are "Graduation Fees"! $39 for graduation fee, includes cap and gown. and get this! $19 per guest that you would like to invite and I have a limit of 5 people I can invite.

Uhh pass on that! But I'm still going to find out about this "outstanding balance" I supposed owe.

eta: so I don't have an outstanding balance and they've made a note of that so I can register for the ceremony...if I was going to attend that is. I think it's ridiculous that I have to pay and then pay for up to 5 guests too. If this would have happened a few weeks or a month after I finished the program and got my certificate in the mail, I would have probably given it more consideration.

Hello, everyone! This is ravenspear, welcoming you to Thursday.

Today is an awful day, and as such our subject will be suitably awful. Today, we take inspiration from the pages of Hungover Owls, a tumblr all about expressing how shit the morning (and day and night) after can be, using pictures of owls. So grab a quote from the tumblr, or make up your own "hungover/[insert time of day here] after" quote, and let's make our favorite characters suffer! :D

The rules are simple:
♥ No more than five "live" prompts at any time. If one of your prompts are filled, then you can prompt again.
♥ In the name of variety, no more than three prompts per fandom.
♥ No spoilers in your prompt until a week after air/publication date, and if your fill contains spoilers you must mark clearly (bold, bright red, whatever is noticable) and leave at least three spaces so people can scroll by.
