I'm beta reading something for someone (whose native language isn't English...I don't think) and they straight copied and pasted wedding vows from somewhere for Danny and Steve, but didn't change the feminine words to masculine!

I already have my work cut out with the other parts I'm beta reading for them for another story.

how to I get my Word spell checker to stay in US English?

This fic I'm beta reading was written with a version of Word from Ireland, so the spell checker/dictionary that's coming up is using English from Ireland. My Hawaiian words, contractions and slang words are coming up as wrong. It's also saying the grammar is wrong as well.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Friday: Free For All

Well, we have reached the end of the week soooo today I bring you the tried and true Friday Free For All. This is the time when you can request that one story that just didn't seem to fit in with a prompt during the week. Maybe you are jonesing for a story from a forgotten fandom. Maybe you are just craving a crossover. Go ahead and promt it. You never know, there may be a writer out there that is just waiting for your request.

And if you are new to the site, or fanfic in general, and you're a little scared to leave a prompt or fill a prompt... Don't be. Everyone has to start somewhere. So come on in and dip your toes in the water.


As always, remember the rules:
• No more than five prompts in a row.
• No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
• No spoilers in prompts.
• If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space!

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
• Leverage/The Sentinel, Eliot & Blair, Blair finds a picture of his mom Naomi holding both a five year old Blair and a baby in her lap. What happens when he finally tracks down the little brother that he never got the chance to know.

• Leverage, Eliot & Sophie, A take off on the song Fancy by Reba McEntire. Sophie is Fancy and Eliot is the baby Welfare took. How/why does she finally admit to Eliot that they are related.

• Angel, Lindsey & Angel, Lindsey is actually Conner. WR&H want to ensure the prophecy 'The father will kill the son' takes place. That is why they have pitted the two against each other from the start. What will it take for Angel to realize just who Lindsey is..
