First, I want to thank everyone for taking the time to answer the poll and tell us what you think.

We're still processing some of the ideas, but some decisions have been made and some are already in effect.

1) As you saw this last weekend, we are taking the move to include Saturday in our Lonely Prompt Adoption. Going forward both Saturday and Sunday will be days with no new prompts.
2) We will be hosting lonely prompt weeks at scattered times, to be determined by the calendar and mods having the ability to run it.
3) We will increase the Challenge weekends to twice a month, the second and fourth weekends of each month.
4) In order to help defray the costs of the contests, donations are accepted. The Paypal address is commentficmods@gmail.com. The cost of one 2 month LJ time prize is $5. We will be giving away two of those each month, plus another three every quarter. Any help with this cost is appreciated. Also, if more money comes in, we may be able to have bigger prizes at some point in the future.

We heard you about the titles and the word "porn". We need to get some new graphics made and then you will see the word pulled from the places where it is now. The Porn is always welcome in the comments, however. Never fear!

If you would like to make graphics, please see [livejournal.com profile] havenward who is our Head Code Monkey and in charge of things like layouts and graphics and such.

At this time we are not going to put hard limits on the number of prompts, however, I think that it isn't unreasonable to ask prompters to be considerate of the hard working volunteer code monkeys and keep from prompting more than a few at a time. Also, please be considerate of your fellow comm members and don't dump all of your prompts at one time.

Don't forget that this is a contest week. Details of the contest are here.

There may be more changes in our future as we grow and adapt. Thank you for making this comm work! Go forth and write people!

Thnak you for creating such a fab comm, for listening to the people who made suggestions and for taking some great decisions.

Will be shoving some cash your way via Paypal asap and - if life ever lightens up n the workload - may get the chance to volunteer as a codemoney in future.

Cheers!

Yeah what [personal profile] ruric said.

*have to second her as she dragged me over to the fun* and one day I will write something relating to a prompt not a pairing

quick question about the word "porn"

*points to icon* are we getting rid of stuff like this (where the word is in a graphic or icon), or is it just a word-finder when writing/reading at work thing (when the word is found in text only)? Just need some clarification on that.

Thank you for this! Not only was it off-putting to me, as someone who prefers not to write porn that often, but the banners were very awkward. Considering they're so large, I always had to scroll past them quickly - I didn't want anyone walking in on the words "porn" and "easy to swallow."

I have to admit that I like the title of the comm very much and the double entendres, too.
But I understand that people who read this at work may have problems with something too obvious in the title.

This is kind of a random thing that's not really related to these changes, but --

has anyone thought about starting a comment_fic off-topic comm? For talking about the multiverse of AUs and series and things that have started up here in c_f. I think it's awesome that there's so much stuff going on, and it would be easier for the code monkeys (and llama!) and everyone else to find what they were looking for if there was a separate comm for brainstorming, graphics, and just goofing around between people who have gotten to know each other (or at least each other's wacky/pervy/glorious imaginations) through c_f.

I would be up to mod such a thing if there's any demand for it. Right now I'm just throwing out the idea.
