The CalFresh/Amazon Fresh saga continues!

It goes like this:

December 11, I place an order, to be delivered on December 13, and money is taken out of my CalFresh EBT account.

December 12, around 8pm, I get a notification that my order is going to be delivered on December 13 between 11am-1pm.

December 13, early in the morning, I get a notification saying my Amazon Fresh order is canceled because "the bank declined the payment" and the money was put back into my CalFresh EBT account.

Wait a minute! If the bank declined the payment, how was money taken out when I placed the order and then put back in when the order was canceled??

I log in to see what's going on and sure enough, money is taken out on December 11 and put back in on December 13.

Okay. I try it again.

December 13, I place an order, to be delivered on December 14, and money is taken out of my CalFresh EBT account.

December 13, around 8pm, I get a notification that my order is going to be delivered on December 14 between 11am-1pm.

December 13, around 11:30pm, I get a notification saying my Amazon Fresh order is canceled because "the bank declined the payment" and the money was put back into my CalFresh EBT account.

What the heck is going on?!

I have a chat with Amazon customer service and they were no help at all. They told me that EBT was only allowed by certain states. I KNOW THAT! I'VE BEEN DOING THIS SINCE APRIL SO THAT'S NOT THE PROBLEM! Then they said to use another payment method. No, the fuck I'm not! Thanks for not being of help!

I try one more time on December 13! This time the order is going to be delivered on December 15.

THE SAME THING HAPPENS!

Notification on December 14 at 8pm that the order is going to be delivered on December 15. Then at 11:30pm another notification that it's been canceled and money put back.

Aww HELL NO!

So this morning I call the County office to ask what's going on. It took 40 minutes for me to actually get a live person (I didn't wait that long on the line, they called me back) and said that everything was good on their end. If there was a problem with the card or pin number, Amazon wouldn't have been able to take the money out and put it back, so it's most definitely a problem on their end. Check with them.

I call Amazon and explain what happened. They checked and tell me again, that it's on the bank side. I explain to the lady that the money is taken out when the order is placed, I get a confirmation notification that it will be delivered, then hours later the order is canceled and the money put back. How can it be on the bank's side if the money was taken out and put back in? She suggested that I take my EBT payment off completely from my account and add it back when I placed my order.

So that's what I did. For a 4th time. Tonight around 8pm I should get a notification that my order will be delivered on December 16. Think positive thoughts it doesn't get canceled at 11:30pm.

I don't want to have to go to the store to do my shopping. That means I'll have to take a bus there and back home with my groceries because I don't have enough money to pay for a lyft.

Oh, and Kim's EBT card works fine. So mine should too because the same "bank" is used.
