Supernatural, Sam, Dean, and Bobby, After his wall comes down, Sam is a little clingy.

Dean is no stranger to waking up next to his brother. Sure a lot of it was back in the day when neither of them even reached 5 feet, but there had been days in recent years when they could barely afford a bedroom with one bed let alone two.

So no, Dean was no stranger to waking up next to his brother.

Waking up being cocooned by him on the other hand... well, that was a first.

"Sam."

"Yeah, Dean?" Guh, he could feel his little brother's breath tickling the back of his neck. This was too fucking weird. And creepy. Definitely creepy.

"I think you need to see someone. In case I'm not being clear: By someone I mean a therapist. For you know, therapy."

A pause.

"Okay Dean."

Freaky neck thing again - must be time for Dean's morning shot of Jim. Trying to get up he was promptly dissuaded from the idea by the tightening of clutching arms and legs.

"Five more minutes?"

Dean simply sighed and relaxed in Sam's koala hold.

"Fine."

He was still a little tired anyway.

I feel as though I should apologize to OP, 1) for the crack and 2) for it being crack and still not managing to squeeze Bobby in there.

He's been on the road his whole life, more or less.

What he can remember is a stream of small towns; motels and run-down apartments and dead body after dead body, burning flesh and salt on wounds.

Sometimes, people see him. Sometimes, he saves them; keeps them alive and safe and when he leaves town, he leaves them behind. But they don’t forget him- don’t forget the man who saved their lives or the big black car he drove around in. Sometimes- most times- he’s not alone. People remember that, too, but it’s usually his face that they recall when they remember the night they almost died or the night their house attacked them or whatever else it was that almost ended their life but opened their eyes.

He has one phone number that he’s never changed. It’s the one he leaves with the survivors, just in case they ever need someone, or someone they know needs someone. A lot of times, they never use it again but it helps people sleep at night, to know that if something did creep out of the darkness again that there would be someone to call.

He’s on the road most of his life and in that time, there are whispers. Kids talk; telling ghost stories that end with ‘and then he saved us and everyone lived happily ever after’. The stories spread. He’s distinctive; difficult to forget, so there are a few details that are always the same- his height; his eyes; his smile. How safe he could make you feel without realizing.

The rumours made it online. His weren’t the only stories, of course, but he was the best and he took on the worst and won. Like a hero in a Western, ambling from town to town, righting wrongs and blowing away the bad guys. There were websites, dedicated to his successes and chronicling his life, hidden parts of the internet where people met to talk about their experience with the other, secret shadow world.

And in those places, he has become a legend. Flesh made story; saviour made Hero; reality made fantasy.

Sometimes, people remember. The stranger in town with the big black car who saved their lives and asked for nothing in return.

Dark Angel, Max/Alec, Catch and release

Sherlock, Sherlock & cat!John, Sherlock gets a cat he names John Watson. He likes to bring him along to crime scenes just to watch Anderson scowl.

(Can be always-a-cat!John or turned-into-a-cat!John and Sherlock figures it out)

"God, do you have to let him in?"

Anderson was being "polite" this time; one could only hear his complaints from one building over instead of three. Lestrade sighed and shook his head.

"Give it a rest, Anderson," he said. It was the approximately the sixty-fifth time he'd said that in Sherlock's hearing, which was far less than Anderson had been complaining.

Good. It meant the job was going well.

Sherlock bent over the corpse, examining the wear patterns on the soles of the shoes, then the splash of mud on the cuffs of his jeans. Hmmm, yes, definitely been running when he fell but... He checked the hands. No hand abrasions. Red marks on the wrists. Wearing gloves, the killer took them off afterward. Why? Evidence on the gloves. What?

John batted Sherlock's cheek to get his attention, and Sherlock looked up from his study to look at his shoulder, where his sandy tan-and-cream cat was gazing intently at the left shoulder.

"Yes? Your opinion?" Sherlock asked. John jumped down and circled around until he could sniff the shoulder. With a faint yowl, he batted at it until a small fragment of wood came free from the seam, faintly colored in dark red.

"Ah, broke furniture over him during the break-in, did he? Lestrade!" Sherlock raised his voice. "Check the hospitals for a five-foot tall man being treated for partial impalement with wood from one of the victim's dining-room chairs. He will have a pair of men's leather gloves in his right-hand pocket that are marked with his blood, but are too large for him to wear," Sherlock said, not bothering to hide a smile as Anderson, in the background, turned interesting colors watching John walk along the victim's back.

"You're sure, Sherlock?" Lestrade said, writing down everything regardless.

"Don't be absurd. John Watson is never wrong about these things, is he?" Sherlock asked, standing calmly as John leapt onto his shoulder and rubbed his head against Sherlock's temple.

Anderson got the look that he had just swallowed a live frog, and Sherlock figured it was about time to leave before he began to foam at the mouth.

After all, he and John wanted to keep doing this for years to come.

"No," Lestrade agreed. "Sherlock, why the cat?"

"He pays more attention than any five of your staff, he listens, never interrupts unless there's something of importance, and is far better groomed than three-quarters of London's population. Can Anderson better that?"

Lestrade wisely did not answer, only nodded in resignation as Sherlock and John strode off through the streets of London.

"Now John, I believe we had an appointment at the fish and chip shop, yes?"

John purred in contentment and curled his tail around Sherlock's neck.
