Greetings writers. The intended guest host has gone incommunicado and you are stuck with me again! I think we all need a bit of silliness in our Mondays so I am picking that for today's theme!

"Well that's because nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!" said the Doctor, flipping a few levers and then wincing as the TARDIS blew sparks at him.

"Isn't that just a line from Monty Python?" asked Rory. Amy looked at him blankly. "You know, 'NOBODY expects the spanish Inquisition'?" he repeated in a high pitched voice. Amy's expression changed to amusement.

"Well yes and no, mostly no but a bit yes. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition because of a perception filter. They're actually sort of...squidy and landish. Land squids. Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin traveled with me once. Had to wipe their memory or they'd go mad. So maybe they're like Land Cthulu then... anyway, the part about the comfy chairs is true, mostly because they find comfy chairs horribly uncomfortable."

"So they'll just yell at us a lot and deny us tea?" joked Rory.

"Oh no, they'll ravage your mind and feed off the psychic energy until you kill yourself. Which is why we're leaving!" he shouted, as the TARDIS shuddered violently. "Or at least we're trying to!"
