Dear Younger Me,

Someday, you're going to meet a remarkable man. Oh, I suppose it's reasonable to say that you'll meet many remarkable men, but there's this one...

Well, you'll know who I'm talking about when you finally meet him.

You'll tell yourself that you have to be serious, responsible, and adult. You'll worry about age differences, regulations, and whether or not a person who's as too-damned-serious as you are can live with a man who doesn't see life the way you do.

You'll hesitate and wait and prevaricate because when it comes to men, that's what you do.

Listen: just for once -- just this time -- stop thinking and go with your instincts. Because if you mess this one up, you'll never stop regretting it.

This was perfect!! And so true for Jack/Sam if either one of them had just stopped for a moment and remembered the job/regulations couldn't hold you, couldn't love you... *sigh* I have way too many thoughts about this :)

And wouldn't we all like to be able to send our younger selves a letter!?
