I've been meaning to write this since it was posted... don't know why I chose today to finish it. I don't know how kinky you thought it would be when you posted the prompt, but this is probably way less kinky than that.

Gabriel doesn't need to tie John down. He's an archangel, the most powerful creature John has ever met. He can distort reality and travel through time. A little telekinesis is nothing to him. It's within his power to make John do whatever he wants him to do. That John has any free will at all is because Gabriel allows it. He doesn't need the comparative frailty of the rope to hold John down.

Gabriel doesn't need John's permission to do anything. He lived for millions of years listening to no one but his father and now he listens to no one but himself. The only human Gabriel ever needed permission from was his vessel, and centuries later, he need not ask for anything. He doesn't need John tied down to get him to submit.

It isn't about Gabriel. It's about John. So after Gabriel sends the boys to sleep in an untouchable paradise, he lashes his power and his strength to John's level. Gabriel walks out to the Impala and brings in the spare duffel. He undresses John and himself carefully, efficiently, reminding John of all he gains by letting go. Gabriel ties John to the bed with knots learnt in Gordium, loose enough that John can relax, tight enough that he can't escape. It's a physical reminder of the circumstances of their relationship.

John is laid out, bare and vulnerable as the day he was born. He'd never had this need with Mary, this urge. He doesn't think she would have been able to go through with it; it's too close to the situations she spent her whole life fearing and avoiding. But with Gabriel it's almost necessary. It's the only way John can allow himself to succumb to the pleasure he wants, to let Gabriel take all the responsibility, and shoulder the burden. A burden he'd never known with Mary.

Gabriel showers John with kisses. He caresses every inch of John's skin with his fingertips, his lips and his tongue. He massages away the pains from hunts gone wrong and the boys' hurt feelings. John becomes soft and pliant where everyone else will only ever see him cold and intractable.

When Gabriel finally presses in, John draws him in willingly and easily. His reservations have all been overcome and there is nothing but Gabriel in his thoughts. Gabriel with his knowing smirks and his carefree smiles. Gabriel with his careful strokes and teasing touches. Gabriel surrounds him and fills him. It's heady and all-encompassing. Later, Gabriel will be able to recount the length of their lovemaking to the microsecond, but for now he is as lost as John is, feeling too much and nothing at all at the same time.

They release together. John doesn't need Gabriel's permission, but he gives it anyway. They shudder through their shared orgasm and Gabriel thanks John with kisses. He unravels the Gordian knots and worships John in a way he never has anyone before as they come down from their high. John refuses to let Gabriel heal the rawness around his wrists and ankles. Even if Sammy has questions when he wakes, Dean knows better than to ask.
