Eliot wants to ignore it but the insistent banging on his front door isn't allowing him to do so. Grunting and cussing under his breath, he pushes himself upright and calls out that he's coming, before moving carefully to the door, favouring his left hand side. Scowl firmly in place, he flings the door opened with a growled demand of 'what' but he quickly softens at the sight of a very worried Abby standing there.

"Hey darlin'." He props himself up against the door frame.

"Oh, Eliot!" Abby springs forward and wraps her arms around him in a tight, yet gentle hug. She bites down on her lip when he winces and she pulls back, eyes searching his face. "I saw it on the tv. It's been al over the news! It was horrible... horrible! And I just wanted to... I needed to... You are ok, aren't you? Please tell me you're OK, Eliot."

"You look like you could use a hug," Eliot laughed softly and pulled Abby back in for a hug. "And I'm fine," he promised. He pulled back far enough to wipe her tears away and press a kiss to her temple. Taking her hand, he leads her back into his apartment and sits her down on the couch.

She curls up against him, head resting lightly on his shoulder. She laughs despite herself when he leans forward and hands her a large cup of Cafpow from the table before wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "Anyone would think you were expecting me."

"Your bed's made up," is Eliot's only reply. "Figured you'd want to stay here tonight."
