A Stormy Wednesday

Hello, everyone. I’m [livejournal.com profile] iantojjackh pinch-hitting guest host for the week. Today's theme is storms. It can be rain, snow, anything and everything in between. Or it can be a person or thing.

The rules still haven't changed:

*No more than five prompts in a row.
*No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
*No spoilers in prompts.

If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space.

Prompts should be formatted as follows:

Fandom, Character+/Character, Prompt

Some examples to get the ball rolling...

+ Torchwood, Jack/Ianto, trapped by a blizzard
+ Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, any, an electrical storm causes problems on the Bus.
+SGA, John/Elizabeth, The Koyla storm.

Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Visit the lonely prompt archive and brighten someone’s day. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.

Supernatural, John+Dean+Sam

“If you walk out that door, don't ever come back.”

It's the shattered look in his younger son's eyes. The broken whisper from Dean. “Dad...”

For a moment John wants to curse and call himself a fool. But he can't bring himself to show that kind of weakness. Not even in front of his own sons. Then Sam closes his eyes, and when he opens them, there is nothing there. A wall has built itself up between them, one that has no door, and he knows his last chance has finally passed.

Sam grabs his bags and walks to the door. For a long moment, he hesitates, but John doesn't let himself feel hope. If Sam stayed for anything, it would be Dean, but Dean just watches him, as if he knows something John does not.

“If that's the way you want it. Sir.” Sam doesn't slam the door. He just closes it gently behind him.

Ouch! My heart!

This is beautifully done. You capture so much emotion in so few words.
