Hello everyone, I am your guest host this week caz251, sorry for yesterday, only got the reminder this morning. Today's theme is 1 word prompts. Those single word prompts that spark anything with the bunnies and muses.

[EDIT] As I missed yesterday anyone who wants to try yesterday's prompt can combine the two. Yesterday's prompt was 3 line fics, so how about if you write a 3 line fic for your 1 word prompt. {If this isn't allowed mods let me know and I'll remove it}

The rules still haven't changed:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
No spoilers in prompts.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space.

Prompts should be formatted as follows:

Under the ocean, days, years, decades, all stretch out like a green-tinged kaleidoscope. The creatures that live nearby, take advantage of the body heat you produce, they are no threat, and provide, at the very least, some companionship (and sometimes food).

But the ages roll by, and you close your eyes to them, knowing only that you are alone, and oh, so old.

I was bound, I knew, by the promises I had given, but it didn’t mean I was hell bound on the road to being a monster. Even as I thought that, I had a premonition I could end up in these caves someday – locked beneath crystals where I would never pose a danger to the world – and I needed to make sure that safety mechanism was in place should Mab push me past a point I shouldn’t go.
I turned to ask the favor but Demonreach seemed way ahead of me, for the towering form hidden behind shadow and cloak only nodded a gentle acquiescence to my unspoken question, leaving me with a small sigh of relief when he looked away.

“What have I told you about those?” Bruce, Batman currently, growls, snatching the cigarette out of Jason’s mouth and stomping it out. “Have you listened to a word I’ve said? Like how it will ruin all the hard work you’ve put into your training? How it could slow you down and put not only you, but myself in danger? No, of course not. You never listen to anything I say, why should this be different.”

Anger flares inside of Jason, and hurt too, but most of his emotions present themselves as anger anyway, so it’s hard to say what he’s feeling most of the time. “Yeah? I’m such a bad kid, is it?”

Bruce glares at him.

“I’m so bad, why don’t you punish me, then?” Punish him, slap him around some, take his belt off and leave welts on his back for days. That’s the kind of punishment Jason knows, the kind he figures he deserves.

“Maybe I should,” Bruce says, pushing the cowl up so Jason can see his face. “Maybe I should put you over my knee right here. Make it so you can’t sit for days without being sore. Is that what it’s going to take to get you to obey me?”

He steps closer, right up into Jason’s space. “Is that what you need, Jason?”

“Yeah,” Jason’s voice cracks. Then a woman screams and the sound of gunfire rings through the air and they’re both off, the scene on the roof forgotten for the next couple of hours as they patrol.

Jason just hopes Bruce remembers to follow through with his promise when they get home.

He sighs, looking out over the Bay, wind howling around him.

The sisters are mad at him again, and Leo is - it doesn't matter what Leo is, because it's not like he ever believed Leo cared about him anyway.

Maybe, he thinks, and it sounds like Wyatt, and Wyatt's insane, evil rhetoric is more compelling by the day, and it's not -- how can he save anyone if nobody wants him to?

They took a good man (he thinks he was, once, must have been, for the good man who is Captain America to love him so fiercely, so furiously) and tore out all that made him good, and poured in a loyal slave who was just as strong, just as fast, just as enduring as the only successful recipient of the serum, and they refined what he already knew. They made a weapon, as inevitable and implacable as winter – give him a target and let him off the leash (but not too far, never out of reach because he heals, he heals, his mind tries to fix itself, and they cannot allow him any memories at all because--)

They made him into a weapon, but the leash has broken, and his masters are running, and he is inevitable, he is implacable, he is hunting (and the good man who is Captain America is next to him, eyes fierce and furious, and that little guy from Brooklyn, the one who never backed down, the one who went into enemy territory for what everyone else believed to be a corpse – he once swore to tear Hydra down, to not stop until they were all dead or captured, and there is no capturing now, there is only vengeance, and his hands have not tired yet).
