Thursdaaaaay - Obsessions
Jun. 18th, 2015 01:42 amHappy Thursday! The week's almost over. Today's theme is Obsession. Prompts should include your character or characters being obsessed with something or someone, fixating on something, maybe your character has OCD. Play around with it and do with it what you like.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
If your prompt or fill contains anything that can be a trigger for the reader, please add a warning for that to give the reader the chance to decide if they want to read or not.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing. Use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
DCU, Tim Drake/Jason Todd, It's kind of scary, the way Tim gets when he's close to solving a case.
The Flash, Eobard Thawne/Barry Allen, "He's like obsessed with me or something."
Any, any/any, “All extremes of feeling are allied with madness.”
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2015 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2015-06-18 04:21 pm (UTC)Thing is, Neville’s not the first one to say something like that. Back in OIF they got shit all the time about being so far up each others ass they couldn’t tell where one ended and one began, the target of every unimaginable homoerotic joke the other marines could come up with. Even Emma made a few comments here or there about how Miles was more Bass’ boyfriend than he was hers, they were together so much. She was joking, of course, but she didn’t know.
She didn’t know that Bass only wanted her because Miles did. Only wanted to kiss her because it’d be the closest thing to kissing Miles, only wanted to be inside her because Miles had been there. Miles had been all over her, his mouth, his hands, and it wasn’t right. Miles was his, goddammit, and he wasn’t about to just let him go for a pretty face, for the kind of thing that felt safe and normal. They weren’t normal. They were killers.
Bass knew Miles better than anyone on the goddamn planet, better than his brother or his own mother. He’d seen Miles at his worst, puke-drunk and crying over Rachel fucking Porter, seen him put a bullet between a man’s eyes and walk off like it was nothing. Bass was Miles.
Nothing -- not a pretty redhead, not Rachel, not this neverending shitfight of a war, not even Miles trying to kill him in his sleep, looking more unsure with a gun in his hand than Bass had ever seen him -- none of that changes anything.
They’re brothers. And that means something. He just wished it meant the same thing to Miles.
