This is how it goes with them, slamming against walls, slamming against doors, Bruce's thigh wedged between Jason's legs, Jason's teeth on his throat.
This isn't how it always was.
Once, it was nothing but soft mouths and hands that were content to touch and stroke for hours upon hours and nothing else. Once, Jason couldn't stop smiling every time Bruce kissed him and for the longest time Bruce couldn't forget the shape of Jason's mouth when it pressed against his, the way he tasted like cigarettes and grape bubblegum.
Afterward, when the scent of sex and of Jason is soaked into every inch of his room and Bruce knows he'll smell him there for days, when Jason rolls onto his side and won't look at him, marks all over his neck and shoulders where Bruce couldn't help but leave a piece of himself, he'll say, "Tell me."
Tell me to leave. Tell me not to come back.
Tell me you want me.
He wants Bruce to decide, but of all the hard decisions Bruce has had to make in his life, this is one he refuses to make.
He watches Jason get dressed, watches him leave the way he leaves every time, and every time he wonders if this time will be the last time.
