Good morning! I'm evil_little_dog here with Thursday's theme: Misheard Song Lyrics! Did you ever mangle a song lyric? And when you found out what the words actually were, you couldn't believe it? Yeah, this is that kind of theme.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

Ted groaned. He knew he shouldn’t have left Dougal to his own devices in the store, but with Jack heading for the cleaning products department he hadn’t wanted to risk a repeat of the previous week’s difficulties. Then he’d failed to keep track of Jack and by the time he’d found him he was on his third bottle of Domestos and making some very lewd gestures at the security guard who had sought to eject him.

But maybe Ted could blame the store for having a wind-up toy promotion, for clearly several children had taken great delight in winding up the toys and now Dougal was surrounded by a sea of mechanical penguins which were running in circles round him. Every time one of the penguins ground to a halt Dougal would wind it up again. Ted started to collect the toys and return them to their boxes, until he realised a security guard, possibly the same one as the previous week’s, was glaring at him.

Ted grabbed Dougal and they legged it. His true love, in the form of Ireland’s finest in a bottle, was calling to him.
