Wednesday - Period Pieces
Aug. 24th, 2016 01:15 amHey, this is
streussal again with today's theme: period pieces. The fandoms in your prompts and fics should be period pieces, ie. set in an earlier time period than when they first created. For our purposes, the gap between setting and time of creation should be at least 30 years. (So Stranger Things counts, because it's set in 1983 and came out 2016. But That 70s Show would NOT, because it starts out set in 1976 and came out in 1998.)
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ The Hour, Kiki Delaine +/ Freddie Lyon, working class
+ Black Sails, John Silver +/ James Flint, (408): Pretty sure I'm going to hell because of our friendship. (817): Last one there wins.
+ Rome (HBO), Atia of the Julii/Mark Antony, "I will always love you, or anyway, I will always have loved you now."
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2016 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2016-08-24 11:25 am (UTC)*A famous or infamous gay bar in Renaissance Florence, the name being slang for anus. Lovely tavern name guys, really subtle. The Office of the Night would never guess what goes on in the upstairs rooms. *eyeroll*
**the office set up in 1432 to police the homosexual subculture of Florence and who pursued Leo in 1476's Saltarelli case
*** Dammit that would have made an awesome bit of dlc
**** I have done way too much research for one prompt, haven't I?
