Wednesday: Birthdays
Mar. 1st, 2017 08:04 amHello, everyone. I’m still
tigriswolf and today's theme is birthdays because if I actually had a birthday this year, it'd be today. Prompts can be anything to do with celebrating birthdays, inheriting things on a certain birthday, so on and so forth.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Fill. Stargate Multiverse, Jack O'Neill/Samantha Carter, The Boys. Deaged AU.
Date: 2017-03-03 11:01 pm (UTC)“I should have said no,” she muttered now, watching as the cabin was pelted with yet more paintballs.
Seriously, why were paintball guns necessary for three year olds? Why? Whatever happened to a pizza party at the bowling alley?
A paintball whizzed by her face, splattering perfectly on the tree beside her. Rodney laughed like a maniac, then turned and chased after John; he ended up nailing Daniel—who was plastered to Ronon's side—in the back, causing him to cry out.
“That's it!” Sam snapped, grabbing up Daniel and stripping him out of the protective vest she'd (thankfully) insisted the boys wear. He had the start of good-sized welt beneath his left shoulderblade, one that'd likely turn to a bruise, and she looked right at Jack as she said, “Next game.”
Knowing better than to challenge his wife, he replied, “Okie dokie,” and ran back to the cabin while pulling off his own gear, dragging Rodney and John with him.

Date: 2017-03-07 11:46 am (UTC)Fill: Skyfall; James Bond/Q; "Many Happy Returns"
Date: 2017-05-28 10:57 pm (UTC)Q stared, bemused, at the assortment of objects before him.
A gun, a radio, a watch, and a USB stick.
He started to reach out for one of them, then stopped and glanced up at Bond with barely concealed suspicion. The agent, for his part, looked supremely amused. Q huffed and picked up the watch, turning it over in his hands.
“You tried the taser function?”
Bond nodded. “Worked very well. Though it did drain the battery a bit.”
Q hummed, still looking over the watch. “Not a scratch.” He murmured.
The gun was next. “Did you… did you actually clean the gun?” Q looked back at Bond.
“I do know how to care for the weapons I use, Q.” Bond replied, an undercurrent of amusement still running through his voice.
“Yes, well…” Q placed the gun back on the worktop and picked up the memory stick, “And this?”
“All the information you need.” Bond assured him.
Q hummed again and put the memory stick down. Every piece of equipment he had sent Bond out with sat before him, whole and in exactly the condition it had been issued. He was a bit perplexed.
It wasn’t as though Q didn’t understand missions might necessitate a bit of rough use for the gear he issued his agents. He didn’t begrudge them new guns or watches or even phones or tablets. It was a bit disappointing when something new and shiny was destroyed before it had really had a chance to work, but- well, human lives were generally more important. Q hadn’t come to expect any agent to return a full kit, not even those going out on supposedly simple missions. And yet…
“It must be a Christmas miracle.” Q said dryly, looking back to Bond at last.
“Well, it’s not exactly Christmas, but,” Bond leaned over and pecked Q on the cheek, amused and smug, “Happy birthday.”
