And here we are, the weekend once more! Which brings us round to one of our favorite days, of course - the Free For All. Which means all fandoms, pairings, and prompts are good to go.
But please remember to follow the rules:
No spoilers in prompts until at least one week after publication or air date. If your story contains spoilers, you must warn in bold and leave at least 3 spaces before the story starts.
No more than 5 prompts in a row, 3 prompts per fandom. When one of your prompts has been answered, you can prompt again.
Please remember to thank the people who answer your prompt.
And please, for the love of our code monkeys, remember to format your prompts properly. For example:
Nothing here catching your fancy? You can stroll on over and check out our lonely prompts.
Also, just as a couple of reminders:
Don't forget to pimp us out for your favorite fandoms! Check here for banners, or submit more.
Interested in supporting the comm? We can accept donations for our Lonely Prompt Challenges at commentficmods@gmail.com .
Happy writing!

Date: 2009-11-06 02:43 pm (UTC)Probably not what you're asking for . . . but I write only as the muse wills.
Date: 2009-12-06 03:13 pm (UTC)And lots of times, he'd go play with Spence. Spence was cool. He could answer all the questions Jack had, he helped him with homework lots of times. Spence told some pretty cool stories, Uncle Derek said that Spence didn't make any of them up himself, but that didn't matter because they were still cool. And then there were the magic tricks! Spence could do magic and was teaching them to Jack. He'd made a pencil wiggle like a spaghetti noodle!
Yeah, Jack loved coming to work with Daddy. All of Daddy's friends were so cool.
But Jack liked it best when it was late at night. Daddy would bundle him up and put him to bed on the big sofa. It was comfy and whenever Jack opened his eyes he could see Daddy doing homework at his desk. More and more, Spence would come in and help Daddy with this homework. Spence would sit across from Daddy, their soft voices lulling him to sleep.
Jack clearly remembered the first time he saw them kissing, even though he was half-asleep. Thirst woke him up so Jack pushed up to sitting, freezing when he saw Spence wasn't sitting across from Daddy, but was in his lap instead. Daddy had a hand in Spence's long hair and the other moving under his shirt. Spence was clutching Daddy's shoulder and arm, making little breathless noises as they kissed.
Jack must have made a noise, Daddy and Spence jumped apart, looking like he did when he borrowed a cookie he wasn't suppose to. He didn't understand why. "I'm thirsty, Daddy."
Daddy cleared his throat, glancing at Spence who was trying to straighten his shirt and tie. "Sure, Jack. Water, okay?"
He nodded, raising his arms, asking to be picked up. He knew he was a big boy, but sometimes he didn't care. He snuggled down into his daddy's arms, feeling so sleepy, but too thirsty to go back to sleep.
"I'll get it," Spence mumbled, darting out of the room, but was soon back with a water bottle.
"Thanks, Spence," he mumbled, drinking slowly like Daddy said. After having his fill, Daddy tried to lay him down, but Jack wanted to cuddle, so he clutched at Daddy's shirt and tie. Daddy sighed, but kissed his forehead and sat down with him in his lap. It felt good, but it wasn't right. He held out a hand in demand. "Spence."
Spence seemed surprised, not moving until Jack said his name again. Finally, he sat down slowly, but he was too far away.
"Daddy," Jack demanded, half slurring the word. "Cuddle Spence."
He frowned when his daddy's chest rumbled, moving his head and his comfy bed, but finally, Daddy wrapped an arm around Spence so that Spence was using Daddy's other shoulder as a pillow. A long-fingered hand patted Jack slowly on his back, making him sleepy. He fell asleep cuddled and loved. Mommy wasn't here any more, but that was okay. Jack had Daddy and Spence and Daddy's team. He missed Mommy, but this was good too.
The End

"For you, always," His grin was mischevious.
Wyatt rolled his eyes, "Mom'll kill us."
"Paris for lunch, sex in Milan, what a way to go, right?"
Wyatt laughed and hugged his younger brother close, "Let's go."
The bright white light shimmered as Piper called, "Boys! Lunch!"

Date: 2009-11-15 06:20 pm (UTC)As if that fixed anything.
Dick fought back a sniffle. He'd been so sure Bruce would be able to help them, to fix whatever had reduced them all in age. Bruce could fix a lot of things.
DIck began to swing his legs as he thought how long he'd waited in the manor for Bruce. He'd weathered Jay's tantrums, and Timmy's crying, and Damian, who only seemed to walk in order to break things.
They'd all been on edge, confused by what had happened to them and by the manor's ueerie emptiness.
Dick had told them all Bruce was probably out fighting a lot of bad guys and would be home soon. And maybe Alfred had gone on a vacation. Every now and again, he did.
Timmy, Jay, and even Damian had all been reassured by him, in the end. Dick felt his eyes begin to sting and sniffled again.
Now he was glad Timmy and Damian had been asleep when Alfred finally did come home - or to the manor, which apparently wasn't home anymore, for any of them.
It meant only Jason knew right now. And, that was easier.
He glanced at his younger brother. Jason sat in Bruce's arm chair, glaring in hate at the far wall.
Dick slipped off the couch and went over to the chair. "Scoot over, Jay."
Jay moved so there was room for Dick to sit next to him.
"Alfred is lying." Jay said, his voice tight and rough.
"Why would he lie?"
"He is!" Jason insisted, glaring up at Dick. "because . . . because he is!"
Dick eyes stung even more and his whole chest hurt. Without asking he wrapped his arms around Jay. He felt his brother begin to pull away, but then Jason collapsed against Dick's chest and began to sob.
Seeing Jason cry was to much for Dick and the ache in his chest became a sob as well.
"I hate him," Jay cried. "I hate him. He said he'd look after me, and he died!"
Dick rocked his younger Jason as best he could, "He didn't mean to, Jay," Dick whimpered. "Don't yell, please. Don't wake the babies."
"I want to yell." Jason said, but he kept his voice down.
Dick heard a tray being set aside, and looked up to see Alfred. Without seeing a word, Alfred knelt and wrapped his arms around both boys.
Dick scooted to the far side of the chair, and Alfred sat down. Both Dick and Jason moved into his lap as best the could.
"I'm sorry," Dick sniffled as Alfred wiped his cheeks with a handkerchief. "I don't think I want chocolate milk any more."
Alfred's arms tightened. "That's perfectly all right, Master Richard."
"Want mine," Jason whimpered.
Alfred reached and handed Jason his drink. Dick watched as Jason drank the whole thing in one go. then Jason tensed and for a second, Dick thought Jason was going to through the glass into a wall.
But Jason looked up at Alfred and handed the glass back before slumping against Alfred.
Dick reached across Alfred and took Jason's hand and squeezed it. Jason made no sound of protest.

Date: 2010-02-11 04:49 am (UTC)Huge ears dwarfed a tiny head, wide black-bead eyes staring at Nate; both of them frozen in place. Its coat of fur was a dusky brown Nate didn’t usually associate with rats, but there was no other possible explanation for the thing's presence. Nate was about to reach for the nearest heavy object—-an old vase he was pretty sure was stolen-—when a blonde blur darted past him.
Parker snatched the little rodent from the couch, cuddling it protectively close to her chest as if to shield it from Nate’s wrath. He gaped at her as she scowled.
“Don’t you dare hurt Sophie!”
Nate choked.
“Sophie? Parker, what—-what is that?”
Parker beamed at him.
“She’s a fox! I got her at the National Zoo.”
“ ‘Got’?” Nate echoed. Understanding slowly dawned, and he stared at her. “You mean—-you stole it from the zoo?”
Parker looked suddenly shifty.
“Well-—we were all broken up, right? So I got bored. So when I stole the Hope Diamond—-and I put it back, you know!—-I had this pass to all the Smithsonian museums so I could scope the place out. And when I was putting the Diamond back, afterward I went to the National Zoo, and-—and she was just sitting there, looking all cute and sad and alone in her cage…”
Nate pinched the bridge of his nose. Hard.
“Parker…”
“I’m just borrowing her,” Parker said defensively, petting the tiny fox. “Just until the real Sophie gets back. That’s all. Then I’ll give her back.”
Something twisted in Nate’s chest. He looked at the fox—-which, well, it was kind of cute, if you liked rodents-—and then at Parker, who seemed suddenly far too young. He sighed.
“You promise you’ll put her back?”
Parker’s answering grin was positively blinding.
