Friday: Confessions

Hi everybody! I have been sherlockian_syn and I hope you've enjoyed my themes this week! Today's theme is Confessions. Prompts can be about confessions of any kind and can be serious or not serious. If someone has a secret they've been hiding, maybe it's time for the big reveal in the form of a prompt!

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!

“I have fallen in love with my flatmate. Not that he knows of course. He’s not interested. But I can’t stop thinking about him, and you know, err, do I need to go into details?”

The silence implied details were expected.

“I think about him, and have a wank in the shower.”

There was a further pause, before the voice said, “Actually, John, I was aware of all this.”

“What? What are you doing in here?”

“Waiting for my suspect. Keep your voice down, I think he’s just come in.”

“About my confession.”

“Another time. I’m busy at the moment.”

(First time writing this pairing, so no kill I.)

"If I'm being honest," Stephen began, and then waited a beat to give Tony a chance to say something snide and witty.

He had come to learn early in their friendship that this was Tony's modus opsrandi when it came to serious and heartfelt discussions.

Tony surprised him instead by asking him, "Honest about what?"

This threw Stephen off of what he had planned to say.

"Well?" Tony prompted with a hint of snark in his voice. He had been busy avoiding a major project Pepper wanted him to finished when Stephen had showed up in his lab unexpectedly. "Cat got your tongue?"

Stephen willed himself not to snark back at Tony and thus starting a snark war instead of honestly telling Tony how he felt about him.

"If I'm to be honest, I would say that when it comes to you I am not interested in a friends with benefits relationship," Stephen answered.

Tony softly sighed. He had a sneaky suspicion that Stephen had fallen in love with him and was worried about Tony's playboy reputation sabotaging their relationship.

"I thought you knew me better than that," Tony quietly said.

"Meaning?"

"Meaning, I stopped being that kind of an asshole years ago," Tony explained as he caught hold of Stephen's right hand.

"You're saying exactly what?" Stephen asked quashing the urge to pull his hand out of Tony's.

"I'm saying that I am yours," Tony replied as he looked Stephen directly in the eye as he raised his hand to his lips and brushed a tender kiss against the knuckles. "Warts and all."

Stephen smiled and pulled Tony into a smoldering kiss,
