✎ Today's theme: family and friends. All prompts should include something to do with family, friends, or both.

While the above are available options, the simplest method might be to bookmark prompts that you like as you find them and return later when inspiration strikes. (There are no rules against multiple fills for the same prompt, by the way. ~_^)

Intrigued, the unaware Central Perk patrons pay attention to Phoebe while the crew, huddled around a table that isn't meant for five people, share glances. This can't be good.
"Hey you, hey you, oh look there's just two times you
sitting in the orange couch you
taking up all the space
but would you still be there
if you know about that place
and the butts it's seen bare!"
The effect is immediate: the couple who had been lying together on the couch two seconds ago stands right away, horrified, and leave the café in a hurry. Satisfied, Rachel takes her time strutting to the couch, the others following her - and together, putting the couch to its best use.
Oh yeah, Phoebe was talking about her butt.
2. respect you
"Hey, nerd," Chandler greets Ross, sitting down on Central Perk's couch with a full mug. "So which dinosaurs didn't come back to life at work today?"
"Funnily enough, they found a tooth in Asia yesterday night! Can you believe that?" Ross doesn't mind the taunting at all, chattering excitedly about the one tooth of the one dinosaur who went extinct a million lifetimes ago. Chandler's eyes glaze over as soon as he starts getting technical, 'ah'ing and humming at the right times.
God, Ross is so boring. Chandler doesn't mind that he wants to talk about his job, really, it's nice that his friend is so passionate about what he does, unlike himself, but can he be any more detailed?
Tuning him out doesn't mean Chandler has grown deaf to everything - he hears the two burly guys chatting on a nearby table perfectly. "Look at that boring nerd, talking about freaking dinosaurs." They share a laugh.
Chandler isn't amused. "That's Dr. Ross Geller for you, the best paleontologist in New York! You wish you could copy his homework!" He yells at them in an unusual moment of bravery. It fades away quickly and he hopes they're not about to get their asses kicked. He'll hide behind Gunther if he has to.
Thankfully, when they stand up it's to leave, even though they're chuckling. Ross looks at him with a grin and Chandler puffs up his chest, like he hadn't been close to pissing himself just ten seconds ago.
"The nerve of these people!"
3. include you
"You girls just don't appreciate the sport," Joey tells them with a wave of his hand, dismissing their concern.
Monica fumes. If she doesn't appreciate sports, then the guys definitely hate them. "Excuse me? Who kicked your hairy ass at basketball every time we played?"
Horrified, Joey seeks out a way to defend himself. "Whaddya want me to do, shave?"
Phoebe and Rachel share a look. It says 'yes'. It helps that they also murmur it and nod. They know better than to point out that Joey should be embarrassed at losing -- losing to Monica is as common as Joey eating a sandwich.
"I'm just saying it wouldn't hurt to buy six tickets sometimes. I know you and Chandler need some alone time-" The three girls chuckle and Chandler imitates Monica while making a face, which doesn't stop her, "but we're part of the gang! We've earned those tickets!"
"Yeah!" Phoebe and Rachel chant, their faces falling when Monica actually pulls out three tickets to tonight's Knicks game.
"Guess what, we're going," she teases, waving the tickets in Ross's face.
The six of them end up going together.
(Monica gets kicked out of the game after stealing the ball from a child and arguing with the parents. But it had been going in her direction!)

"You can do it!"
"Yeah," Chandler cheers, patting Joey's shoulder. "You're almost there, big guy. You can't stop now."
"I'm gonna puke," Joey complains, but he still grabs his fourteenth slice of pizza. He's close to bursting, but just looking at the pizza makes him want to eat it. He takes a bite.
Phoebe cheers as Monica holds out a napkin to wipe grease from the corner of Joey's mouth, making a face at the mess he's making.
"That's it! Swallow that bad boy!" Rachel cries, hands flailing around in excitement, and Chandler makes a pained sound.
"So swalling is his secret to picking up women?" Everyone ignores him, except for Ross's 'dude!'.
Wide eyed, Joey looks at Rachel for support and, finding it, swallows the bite. He groans, "I'm done, I can't have any more."
"Sure you can, you already sacrificed all these cows! You can't have killed the cows in vain, Joey. Honor the cows!" Phoebe yells to his face and Joey, properly intimidated, shoves the rest of the pizza in his mouth.
It takes him about four seconds to choke, grow red, then spit out a chunk of the pizza on the carpet. The others watch in amazement and disgust as he swallows what's left of it in his mouth, picks up what fell on the carpet, eats it.
"Uh. Well done?" Chandler says, placing a hand on Monica's back to try and stop her from having a mental breakdown.
"Yeah baby!" Joey celebrates, oblivious to the others in light of his achievement.
Two hours later, he has three more slices.
5. need you
There's nothing worse that Emily could have requested of him.
Throwing out his furniture? Alright. Moving? Great! He's even willing to quit eating pizza with everyone, but to stop seeing Rachel? That's too much.
Ross doesn't want to lose Emily. They get along so well, not to mention Emily hadn't run off the minute he said "I take thee, Rachel", which has to mean she wants him as much as he wants her. A lot. Their romance isn't the whirlwind kind for no reason, relying mainly in passion, but it hasn't faded completely, like it did with Carol being a lesbian or the xerox girl and his morning after sobriety. (They were on a break!)
But Rachel... Rachel, his sister's friend of many years and his own crush of just as many, Rachel who lost contact with Monica and thus himself as time went by, and still fit perfectly back into their lives upon coming back, Rachel who has grown so much, who has loved and hated him just as strongly, Rachel.
He hates it, but his decision was made the moment Emily told him what her condition was. He loves Emily, but he needs Rachel just as much as he needs the others, Monica included.

Date: 2019-08-19 01:50 am (UTC)It sucks. Joey hates acting, but he also loves acting so he can't just give it up. He just wishes he could get a nice, regular part and not have to worry about going to auditions every day.
Maybe it should mean something to him that he goes into a funk like this every once in a while and that everyone already knows it's bound to happen, but he doesn't care. He never stops putting himself out there, going out looking for jobs, decent or not, and he does his best despite how others may see it.
"The way I see it, they're missing out," Phoebe tells him, sitting in Chandler's chair with a vegan sandwich she'd bought for herself along with Joey's meatball sub.
"Yeah, they are," he says around a mouthful of the sub, nodding. "They could get a piece of Joey, but now they're getting a piece of insecticide guy. They're all gonna get poisoned, lemme tell ya."
Phoebe agrees. "You know what time it is, though?" Joey shakes his head, so Phoebe stands up and turns on the TV.
"Baywatch!" Joey yells, excited, even more so when Phoebe sits down again and he gets to tell her which girls are the hottest and why.
His professional life may suck, but he has the best friends.
7. save you
"I can't believe them!" As happens every time she interacts with her parents, Monica is angry, steam coming out of her ears angry. "All they can talk about is a stupid article no one read and I finally have a boyfriend they could actually approve of."
If Chandler hadn't known her for years, he would believe that she was just angry, that there was nothing more to it than that, especially with his own history. Being mad at parents is nothing new to him. He knows her, though, knows she's upset that even with Pete, millionaire guy, they still don't hold her in high regard like they do Ross. Desperate that nothing she does will ever change that.
"They're assholes for not appreciating you, Mon," he agrees, pulling her into a hug before she breaks something or the entire kitchen. "But they're not everyone. We love you and we're all so jealous."
The effect isn't instantaneous, but when a few seconds later she sighs, he takes it as a victory. "Do you want to date a millionaire guy?" She tries to tease, weak yet Chandler picks up on it easily.
"If he's as good looking at Pete, sure. He knows how to handle a WENUS," he jokes and thankfully, she laughs, holding him tighter.
"Sorry, you can't have him."
"Bummer."

Date: 2019-08-06 11:14 pm (UTC)Still, the Winchesters didn’t realize what an impression “The Birdcage” made on him right away. Then comes a case that’s eye-opening. There’s a restless spirit inhabiting a gay bar that does drag shows…they’re trying to get its attention when “I Will Survive” starts spewing from the speakers.
Inspired, Cas leaps onto the stage and starts belting out the words along with Gloria Gaynor. “At first I was afraid, I was petrified, thinking I could never live without you by my side--”
He’s sashaying down the platform like a runway model, slinging his hips from side to side and letting his trenchcoat slide down like he’s about to bare it all. Even fully dressed, it’s quite a performance--he even hits the high notes right along with Gloria--impressive.
Their quarry is frozen, staring at the stage in awe, making it much easier for them to perform a hasty banishing ritual.
The spirit fades away, the song concludes and a chipper Cas hops down from the stage. “That was invigorating,” he says, wide blue eyes sparkling with glee. “Although I’m not appropriately attired for this milieu.”
The idea of what he probably considers appropriate under the circumstances is mind-boggling. “Hey, you were great,” Sam tells him. Very…um, energetic.”
“You know,” Dean muses later, “Considering how much time we’ve spent watching Jack Sparrow, I have a feeling ‘Talk Like a Pirate Day’ is going to be really interesting.”
