Friday: Random Tarot Card
Oct. 11th, 2019 06:00 amHello, everyone. It’s
marlex for one last day. I do hope everyone has enjoyed this week. Today’s theme is Random Tarot Card. Building off of yesterday’s theme of Random Wordcount, this time we’re mixing in tarot cards. I will admit upfront that I’m not terribly familiar with tarot cards myself, but when I saw Random.org had a playing card generator, I couldn’t resist another day of randomness.
I hope this isn’t too involved, but it’s basically a three-step process. First, figure out your fandom/character choices (do this first to add to the randomness). Then, click here and click the draw card button to draw a random card. Finally, I found this site which includes a table to convert playing cards to tarot cards and their suggested meanings. Use the resulting meaning as your prompt.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ MCU, Darcy Lewis/Steve Rogers, Illusion of being trapped, powerlessness
+ The Walking Dead, Beth Green/Daryl Dixon, New idea, business, action
+ Lost, Claire Littleton/Charlie Pace, Sharp, intelligent, ruthless, insightful, organized
We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2019 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2019-10-12 04:57 pm (UTC)Love is powerful. It is exhilarating, yet also terrifying. It could destroy him; twist his soul into broken jagged shares of splinters. However, the devil’s touch did not cripple him. True love saved him, gave him harmony and peace in a time of death and destruction. Love delight him to his core, one touch from his lover takes his breath away.
Brother Diarmuid rise from his seat on the soft grass, moving closer to the Mute. The smile he is given is every bit a spiritual blessing. His soul glows brighter in his chest as he sits down next to the man, glorious warmth washes over him as tender arms tuck him close. The warm summer breeze blows around them as the Mute gently caress his cheek with the tenderness kiss.
He snuggles deeper into the arms of his beloved, safe in the Mute’s gentle embrace. In the melting sun with a baby blue sky looming over them, with his eyes closed and enjoying the radiating warmth, his heart soars as the Mute kisses his pink lips.
The Mute’s presence calms every fear that lurks in Brother Diarmuid heart, goodness and kindheartedness shall follow him as he follows anywhere his beloved travels. Turning towards the man, Brother Diarmuid presses his forehead to the Mute’s, taking a soft breath and smiling, at peace in the arms of his glorious angelic soul mate.
♥ END ♥
