evil_little_dog and today's theme is Under 50 Words. Prompts can be anything but the fills should be under 50 words (though no one will complain if you go over)!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]

Date: 2020-01-03 04:57 pm (UTC)Luke has wrapped his arms around her loosely, but there seems to be more to his embrace than the mere physical contact. She doesn't know what it is she's feeling - maybe it's the Force, maybe it's his sadness and heartbreak over the death of their biological father, or something else entirely - but whatever it is that's going on, it's putting her in a very strange mood.
Being able to feel him, far above them on the Death Star, having a tangible connection to him through the Force - that is something she still needs to wrap her head around.
It's terrifying and awe inspiring at the same time.
At her words, Luke chuckles and presses a gentle kiss into her hair. "You're my sister. I felt drawn to you from the moment I saw you in R2's recording. I just didn't know why I felt such a strong connection to you. It didn't make sense. At first, I thought I was in love with you but, something was...off."
Leia nods. "Yeah, I know. I felt it, too. And it confused me. Sorry for kissing you on Hoth, by the way. I'm not really good at-" She breaks off, not really sure what she's trying to say.
Luke laughs again. It's an almost carefree sound and Leia is impossibly grateful to hear it. Luke has been through hell - they all have - and hearing him laugh somehow makes her think that everything will be all right after all.
"Don't worry about it. In hindsight it's really awkward, I know, but in that moment it was a huge ego boost. The pretty princess had chosen me, the farm-boy over the space pirate."
"Space pirate," Leia echoes with a roll of her eyes and this time it's her turn to laugh. "You're an idiot," she says fondly and jabs him in the ribs.
"Maybe," Luke amends. "But I'm your brother. You're stuck with me now. I always felt like part of me was missing, something that had nothing to do with my parents being dead. Now I know I've been missing you." His arms tighten around her and for a moment Leia can feel just how much her absence has hurt him and she realizes that the same is true for her.
"I've missed you, too. And part of me has been searching for you all of my life. I'm glad we've found each other."
Leia doesn't know what the future will bring but she's confident that with with Han by her side and her brother having her back everything will turn out just fine.

That was then.
Now, twenty years later, his bare back bows as he crouches in front of her. His skin is marred with slashes and cuts all to honor the God Illyria, an undying sacrifice. Angel's pretty sure he deserves the pain but more, humans deserve to survive. And some day, maybe, Faith or Connor or even Buffy might hear of Illyaria's slave and rescue him.
Maybe.
