angelus2hot and today's theme is 100 words. Prompts can be anything, but fills have to be 100 words exactly.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]

Date: 2020-02-07 08:57 pm (UTC)The dream is always the same. A sharp pain in her neck, a cold concrete warehouse floor beneath her back, terror coursing through her veins.
Waking is always the same, a start and a gasp, eyes flying open, hand flying to her neck, her heart pounding as she reminds herself that it was just a dream, that she is safe now.
The reminder is always the same, coming as she lies back down. A hand sliding across her hip, Jubal’s beard tickling her shoulder as he presses a kiss there before murmuring a sleepy, “Love you.”
She smiles.
She sleeps.

In the car had been the perfect time as she eased his pain just by not being horrified by the things roaming through his mind. At the wedding there had been time to say what he wanted but how beautiful she looked in red robbed him of his senses.
“Save me from my demons, Dani,” he whispered where none but Sunshine could hear.
One day he’d scream his truth to her.

Chloe should have been used to Lucifer’s capricious moods but she didn’t like the ones where he got quiet. Nothing good lurked in his silences. He sat at his piano in Lux which was eerily empty. The club seemed to have picked up Lucifer’s mood, embodying the melancholy she saw in his dark eyes.
“You liked her,” she said, thinking on the young woman they had failed to save. “We got her killer.”
“Some days it doesn’t feel like nearly enough.” He poured two whiskeys and handed one to her. “One for sorrow.”
“Two for joy.” Chloe could dream, right?

Resting against his shoulder in his strange spacious old house was one of Buffy’s current favorite things to do. She listened to him read The Count of Monte Cristo, not so much because she was invested in the story but she loved the sound of Angel’s voice. In the soft light he read by, Buffy studied his muscular arm. He had a strange scar and she realized it had to be from his youth. Vampires didn’t scar, much like Slayers. She traced it and his voice trailed off.
“A fight?” she asked. “Rescuing someone?”
He scowled. “Teenaged-years. Fell down drunk.”

Not a new idea - he’d used the coping mechanism the last time he’d stopped drinking - but for a new reason.
Because his mind keeps spinning back to the hospital where Kristen is fighting for her life, the hands of a surgeon all that’s between him and losing her.
“I should have told her how I feel,” he thinks. “If she dies without knowing...”
Impatiently, he snaps the band again.
