Thank whatever deity(ies) you believe in it's Friday! Today's theme is Book Titles. All prompts must be inspired by a book title. Have fun!
Also! If anyone else is interested in signing up for guest hosting duties please pop over to this post and fill in your details ♥
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Any (please no SPN), any aspec character (either canon or fanon), wow, no thank you
+ Good Omens, Crowley/Aziraphale, Surprised By The Voice Of God
+ Prodigal Son, author's choice, The Serial Killer Cookbook
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2020 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2020-08-07 09:30 pm (UTC)Fill, Saiyuki - "The Prisoner" (trigger warnings for starvation/thirst/mental torture)
Date: 2020-08-08 03:10 pm (UTC)Where he sat enclosed in granite and thick iron bars, the sun didn't touch. The warmth didn't reach him as the sun crisscrossed the mountain east to west and the bars of Goku's prison faced south. Some moss grew in the damp at the back of the cave, offering him a bit of moisture as a taunt.
The knob of stone grew nothing, not green plants, not birds. Very rarely even did an insect crawl across the stones to entertain the prisoner. A yellow butterfly entranced Goku for the short time it spent flitting outside the bars. Its dancing wings reminded him of old aches and dreams and he screamed and screamed when it fluttered away, no flowers to nourish it on this barren rock.
The moss wasn't good for eating but Goku's stomach rumbled continuously until he had to put something in it. He couldn't keep it down and the stink lingered in the cave until finally the sick dried up enough to blow away.
His tears made patterns on the stone floor. His throat ached from calling, crying, screaming. No one came.
He never thought how he didn't starve. How his thirst didn't kill him. How he never froze in the winter. He watched from behind the bars as the mountain trees changed their clothes, budding soft yellow then growing into thick green coats that crisped to brighter colors of yellow and orange and red and gold before blowing away in a storm of white. His own clothing never frayed, neither his hair nor his nails grew. His body didn't wither.
The blue bird stopped outside the bars and Goku drew near, pressing his face between the spacings. The bird hopped, chasing after a tiny beetle. Goku's laugh startled it, making it fly up. He tracked it in the sky. Sorrow escaped him as the bird darted back toward the trees.
The bird came back.
Goku offered it little insects he'd caught. He offered them up until winter, when the snow set the beetles to hibernating. The snow fell fast and silent and heavy and the bird froze.
His wails echoed around the mountain. If any were to hear, they might think a monster bellowed up on that stony knob.
But curiosity led no one to investigate.
And the decades drifted by.

Date: 2020-08-07 09:32 pm (UTC)Fill; shadowhunters, Magnus/alec, fluff
Date: 2020-12-17 06:08 pm (UTC)Magnus was merely gone for an hour, and his boyfriend is trying to climb him like a tree as if he has been gone for a year. He giggles when Alec pouts when he pulls away, the younger man desiring more kisses.
Smirking, he wraps his arms around Alec and tugs him close, breathing a soft sigh of bliss as their lips meet again, this time sweeter and softer. This is something that always makes his chest tight; how over the moon in love his angel is with him, how he misses him so greatly even though they have barely been apart for a while. A fond, beautiful grin, their lips touch tenderly, and Alec is left breathless by the touch of his beloved soul mate. Magnus kissed him, a soft giggle rumbles from his lips.
Alec’s lips are velvety soft against his, sending Magnus’s heart racing. He loves everything about his beloved angel; the way his cheeks color rosy red as he smiles as brightly as a golden sun. That smile leaves him breathless. His heart skips a beat and his tummy feels tingly. “I love you...” Alec whispers, smiling, and Magnus' fond smile becomes a heartwarming grin that makes Alec’s heart skip. Magnus palms his cheek with tenderness and Alec leans in, welcoming Magnus’ kiss on his soft lips.

Date: 2020-08-08 01:17 am (UTC)FILL!
Date: 2020-08-27 06:03 pm (UTC)“Daddy wins! Yippee, Daddy won!” Morgan giggled delightfully as she clapped her little hands and her beautiful eyes sparkled with joy and happiness. She picked up the pretty blue tiara and waddle over to Papa Tony.
She placed the plastic tiara on top her daddy’s head. “There you go!” She said proudly. “Now you’re a pretty, pretty princess!”
Dressed in strings of beads and colorful rings, Tony playfully showcased the tiara. Morgan giggled and her cheery laughter was music to Tony’s ears.
“You look pretty, daddy!” Morgan declared happily.
“Yes he does.” Pepper agreed as she joined her husband and daughter in the living room. She set down the that held two cups of yummy hot chocolate, giving Morgan one cup and Tony the other. Sitting down at the table, they three of them took a sip of their yummy hot chocolate, Morgan sat on Pepper's lap as she snuggled her momma.
“Mom, you wanna play with us?” Morgan asked, her puppy dog eyes pleading with Pepper to join their game of ‘pretty, pretty, princess.’
“Only if Daddy says it’s alright.” Pepper and Morgan both gazed at Tony with their big sad puppy dog eyes, knowing Tony didn’t stand a chance.
“Okay, one more round,” He agreed, and he was looking forward to the fun. Time with his daughter and wife was always the best way to spend a winter afternoon. “Then it’s your nap time, baby girl.”
Morgan wiggled excitedly, doing a happy dance while her daddy and Momma set up the game. This time, she was going to win because she wanted to be a pretty, pretty princess—just like her loving Momma and Papa, the best parents in the whole, wide world!
