Aspec Tuesday

Happy Tuesday my doves! I am classics_lover and Tuesday's theme is Aspec characters. Prompts must concern characters either canon or fanon that are asexual, aromantic, greyromantic, greysexual, basically anything on the low-to-no sexual or romantic attraction scale. You know, like me :)

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

Assassin's Creed, Ezio Auditore/Leonardo da Vinci, Ezio loves that Leo never pressures him for sex, he doesn't understand why he's not interested in it when... he's supposed to.

It's been literal years since I was in this fandom, but I really wanted to fill one of your aspec prompts, so hopefully my dusty knowledge is acceptable. :)

The topic has been on Ezio’s mind for awhile, questions swimming through his brain in idle moments. Apparently it’s weighing on him more than he realized, because during one visit to Leonardo, the artist and inventor looks up from his latest project and says, “I know your line of work values stillness and silence and that you’re good at what you do, but your constant fidgeting today is quite distracting. What’s troubling you, Ezio?”

Caught out, Ezio can only be honest. “Why do you never ask me for sex?”

Leonardo’s brow furrows, and he puts down his implements and steps closer to where Ezio sits. “Does it bother you?”

“Everyone wants sex,” Ezio says, the words feeling wrong in his mouth when everyone but me wants sex would be better. Ezio knows abstractly that he’s attractive. He’s been approached by many over his young life, but he’s never seemed to want what they do. He enjoys looking at a pretty face, an aesthetically pleasing body, but the intrinsic desire to take things further just isn’t there.

He’s had sex before, and it felt good, but he just doesn’t seem to have the appetite everyone else does. Even Cristina, who he’d always felt most comfortable with, had more than once lamented his lack of interest.

“Not everyone,” Leonardo says kindly. “As long as I’ve known you, you’ve never given any indication that sex interests you, regardless of your obvious romantic affection for me. I trusted that if your desire or lack thereof was something you wanted to discuss, we would.” He smiles. “And here we are.”

Ezio averts his eyes and echoes, “Does it bother you?”

“Ezio.” Leonardo touches his cheek, drawing his eyes back. “I don’t need to have sex with you. I know you care for me. I have you in every way that matters. We both have our work. History is happening all around us. There’s so much more to life.”

Ezio swallows a lump in his throat. “Thank you for understanding.”

“Of course, mio amore.” Leonardo leans in for a soft, gentle kiss. “You give so much of yourself. No one has the right to ask more, least of all myself.”
