Today is Tuesday and I will be your pinch hitting host today!

I think Tuesday is a good day for Monsters, don't you?

So let's have them, werewolves, vampires, deformed creatures, boogie men, Frankensteins, or the more human variety, maybe even the imaginary kind...

SGA, John/Ronon, ghosts from the past

After his father's funeral John is different. It's subtle and Ronon doubts that anyone else notices. It's a lingering presence under John's skin like a ghost. Ronon knows all about ghosts from the past.
'You should do something.' Lorne says to Ronon when John enters the mess a few weeks after his father's funeral. Ronon is not surprised that Lorne noticed, like many artist Lorne has a finer perception of his surroundings than others.
'Why me?' He asks. Lorne gives him a pointed look but can't say anything because John sits down with them:
'Morning Lorne, Ronon.'
'Good morning, sir.'

'Come on.' Ronon says after they finished their breakfast. He has a training sheduled with Lorne and Stackhouse in an hour and the team has a mission in the afternoon.
'Where are we going?' John asks but he follows Ronon without asking again into Ronon's room.
'Here.' He gestures to the picture above his bed.
John waits.
'It's Sateda's greatest victory. The first record of a planet in this galaxy fighitng and wining against the Wraith.'
'Nice.'
'Lorne helped me to make it. These', he points at the faces: 'are not the warriors that won the battle but my family. After I stopped running I felt them everywhere.
'Ronon, my father and I...' John stops, unable to finish the sentence. Ronon steps nearer.
'It's over. Whatever happened between you. Let go.'
'It's not that easy.' John argues.
'Yes, it is. Don't try to be someone you're not. Not even for the dead.'
'My father died thinking that I did nothing worthy with my life.'
'You have us, our loyalty, our admiration-'
'McKay's sarcasm, Teyla's eyerolls, Lorne slyly coercing me into doing paperwork, you kicking my ass-' Ronon nearly smiles at that.
'We're your family, too.' He says and he likes John's grin when he does.
'Yeah, I can really see it: Rodney is the annoying younger brother, Teyla our older sister, Lorne the babysitter that lets us eat candy so that we're all brushing out teeth and go to bed at 8pm and you are-'
'I am?' Ronon asks.
'who do you want to be? John asks right back. ROnon shrugs:
'Yours.'
'Not Lorne's?' John is suprised: 'because I thought-'
'Sheppard.' Ronon interrupts him.
'Yeah?'
'Don't make me have second thougts.'
