Wednesday - The 60s
Mar. 10th, 2021 06:00 amHello, everyone. I’m
momma_66 and today's theme is The 60s.
Growing up we had a magnet on the fridge that said, "if you remember the 60s, you weren't there". Mom always said it was true.
Whether you remember or not, it's a decade that changed the world. Get creative with fandoms and prompts inspired by the 60s.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling…
🎶Any, Any, if it weren't for the photos they wouldn't remember Woodstock
🍿Any, Any/Any, seeing 2001: A Space Odyssey for date night
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2021 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2021-03-10 11:25 pm (UTC)"I suppose you offered the Beatles a deal?" Chloe fixed Lucifer with her own gaze. Not nearly as brilliant.
"Me? No, they didn't need my help. They were already at Ed Sullivan's by the time I saw them. No, there was another fellow there that night...I offered him a favor."
"Really. And did he become as famous as the Beatles?"
Lucifer's smile became a bit more melancholy. "In a manner, yes. He asked for something a bit unusual though - to always be able to have horses and animals in his life. Well, how could I say no to that?"
Chloe blinked. That really didn't sound like one of Lucifer's normal favors. "And?"
"He died on his horse ranch in Florida, just a few years ago." Lucifer cocked his head. "Perhaps you've heard of him, Detective? I mean, it's possible your mother was a fan and she'd mentioned him to you?"
Curiosity got the better of her. "Who was it?"
Lucifer looked down at the photo again and said, almost to himself, "Of course, the big draw that night was the Beatles. Everyone wanted to see them. But there was a musical making the rounds as well and one of the young actors there was getting a name for himself, too." He raised his eyes to meet Chloe's. "The musical was Oliver!, a retelling of one of Dickens' stories. I'm not sure which one." He waved his fingers. "But the young man I spoke with was quite charming and a short time later, he had his own television series." Lucifer smiled again at Chloe's 'go on' gesture. "He and his co-stars became very popular as both actors and musicians."
Lucifer handed the photo back to Chloe. "Yes, I think Davy Jones got what he wanted, except possibly a longer life. Did you know he was the youngest member of the Monkees and the first one to die? A pity."
